There's even a comic where the Joker's plot to kill Batman seemingly succeeds. Huge existential crisis. He gets surgery done to make him look like a normal person. Starts living under an assumed name. He even got married. Unfortunately his criminal ways eventually came back out. So he unwilling returned to being the Joker. In a job after that his wife was a hostage. His partner in crime threatened her life, so the Joker offed his partner in crime.

Also the anime has pretty much stated that neither Kirby, nor Meta Knight, are natives of the planet Pop Star. Kirby's full title is even "Kirby of the Stars", and since it is heavily implied that Meta Knight is of the same species as Kirby, the two of them are Extra Terrestrials. Which.. all things considered, would be pretty lackluster for Kirby. Reminder, Kirby is a being stated in all of his canons to be a being of infinite power, the anime has Meta Knight flat out state that Kirby is tantamount to a toddler who was awakened too early, and if that holds true in the games too, then the true power he could wield is utterly terrifying, as he is capable of, and has done so many a time, in killing beings that are as powerful as gods. the Holy Nightmare, Zero, Zero Two, Magolor, Dark Matter, Dark Nebula, Star Dream, Queen Sectonia, Void Termina, Morpho Knight.... All these beings are, at the peak of their power, beings that could be considered godly powerful. and 9 times out of 10, Kirby does not need any special ability or item to deliver the final blow. Just his ordinary abilities are enough to bring down these beings. Kirby doesn't need a gods powers. Kirby is a god unto himself.
