I've noticed how much I improved over the last months in slay the spire, just by watching these videos. Especially on Watcher. I was barely able to finish a normal run with her because I just didn't understand her outside of stance dancing (SCRY OMG) but I've recently been able to clear my first a20 run thanks to Baalorlord :)

I agree. I had my first 3 game winstreak rotating A20. Had 2 wins in a row before that with only one death separating almost a 5 game streak. This is some really top notch educational content.

I've managed a 3-turn heart kill once. It was a shiv/poison combo deck that was off-the-rails bonkers. I was able to apply 200 poison *and* do 200 damage the first round of combat, then basically just click end turn a couple of times for the win. I doubt I'll ever pull that off again.

I thought you were implying that poison bypasses invincible and that I'm going crazy, but then remembered it has invincible 300 instead of 200 below A19, so 3-turn kills are possible. EDIT: Misunderstood, read below.

@@MunyuShizumi No - you do 200 damage in turn 1. Then the heart goes and their debuff wears off so they take 200. It's now my turn 2, but the heart can't take damage, so I click end turn. It's the hearts turn 2, so the poison does 200. It's now my turn 3, but the heart can't take damage, so I click end turn. The heart goes and takes 200 damage from poison. Heart dies after 3 rounds. It's possible because the heart's damage limit resets on *its* turn and the poison is dealt on its turn.

@@MunyuShizumi Think of it this way: Bronze Scales does damage during the heart's turn. Let's say it does the 45 damage. On your turn, you can only do 155 to the heart. That's because the buff resets at the start of the Heart's turn. Which means it is possible to kill the heart in 3 turns... it is just incredibly difficult. I just happened to *once* have the perfect deck to do it. That deck was amazing.

It saved 8 health immediately, but poor draw order meant it didn't pan out as well as it could (losing 10 health next turn). Being able to immediately take out a sentry on turn 1 is *usually* pretty good - emphasis on "usually"

Do you use any sort of noise gate? I noticed in a lot of your videos that there's a strange staticy noise, and it seems to appear as you transition from being silent to talking (but not always). Was wondering if that was just an artifact of something on your end, or if my speakers are dying lol
