Suzy Lu I hated seeing Agro struggle to walk, I also hated seeing Wander try to get to Mono (the girl) but was overpowered by Dormin, but in the end Mono was revived just like Dormin promised to do Dormin just never said what Wander would have to do to get her back, but what really made me cry is seeing Agro struggle, she walked all the way back hoping for Wander to be there, but he wasn't

I have to disagree with you there. You seem to forget that in the first episode, Dormin never told that the Colossi were evil, only told to defeat them for the task. He give a warning to Warden that he WILL pay a high price for this and Warden cut him off before he could said more about it. Dormin is not a villain, he didn't do anything and Warden is neither a hero, but he's the one who set the strings into motion. Also, it's said in canon material that Agro is Momo's horse.

Well Dromin speaks with two voices (female and male), and at the end you can only hear the male voice. It's possible that Mono (the girl) was resurrected by the female side of Dormin's soul.

This ending is one of the best in how effective it subverts and toys with your expectations. The fact that they let you play as Wander trying to reach Mono, hanging on for dear life to the floor and the walls the same way he hung onto the Colossi, and inevitably getting slowly pulled into the void is the one of the most effective gut punches of any game. "The price you pay may be heavy," indeed.

What destroyed me about the ending is that you, the player, is so helpless in that situation. The player is the only one who knows what happened! Mono has no clue where she is, she doesn't know how she got there and she has no idea who the baby is. Nevertheless she picks it up and takes care of it. Not knowing it's Wanda who went through all this stuff. She probably doesn't even know who Wanda is, cause she was unconscious since the beginning of the game. Speaking of Wanda, he grows up in a land both can't escape. He will never find out what happened either, cause he has no memory of what he did in order to rescue Mono. Both characters were absolutely selfless throughout this whole story but end up in a dead land. Argo btw. actually "witnessed" everything but can't utter anything. And if Argo is not an actual enchanted horse in that world it is not gonna live that long, which will make Mono feel really lonely for such a long time, before Wanda is able to speak one day. Unless we think that Argo is only ~5 years old. Thinking about these characters and what they did, only to end up in a place they can't escape kills me. And I am not even mentioning the soundtrack, the impact of the world, the colossi, the gameplay or the mysterious story. Absolutely brilliant game!

Although Dormin seems to have been cast out of this world, his soul fragments now lies in the horned child, instead of 16 collossi. Now that there are more and more horned child, Dormin is close to be ressurected again. The queen in ICO knew about this and start spreading rumours that horned child are a sign of bad omen and tell them to be sacrificed in her castle. The queen is trying to control Dormin's soul to be her servant.

Everytime u kill a colossus, u are teleported back at the temple. Agro doesn't, she has to do all the way back and everytime she arrives she sees you. This time she did all the way back and with a broken leg (wich by the way it was pretty far) to find out that this time you were not there.. As a gamer who has played the original PS2 release countless times, I totally agree with you on the nuisance about the final colossus battle. I don't recall it being so frustrating in the original release, as I had no trouble at all scaling the last colossus all the way without any mistake when playing the PS2 version. So it seems to me some part of the code went awry, or maybe that's just me.

You may want to play the "sequel" to this, (which is actually made first on the PS2 with a Violet CD), called ICO. It kinda creates that sympathetic feel to save princesses too cause you're with a companion the whole time solving puzzles (kinda like Agro but she's a princess). Haven't finished it though, some puzzles are tough and requires backtracking, and those shadows are freakin wicked that they want to suck her into a pool of darkness. It's also a minimalist game.

Just noticed those things that look afther u when u kill a colossus are a piece of Dormin. So the colossus were protectors, they maintained Dormin separated and he used u as a vessel so he was all in one.
