Jeni, I'm thinking you need one of your kids to work at Coles! So you could have the staff discount on your groceries!

Rachel is a mirror of you. Amazing likeness. Reminds me if when I was a kid we did shopping for two weeks. Nine kids and we used three carts (they were probably smaller carts back then). Dad used one for milk and a bit of meat. The 2nd cart was for meats and fish. Mom used the 3rd one mostly for fruits, vegetables, and canned goods.

Thanks for your comment. I see that you have commented on lots of our videos. I'm not a nutritionist so it's not my place to be insisting that people check for sodium content. Although it's great advice to always check out details on what you are eating. Thanks for watching!! 🙂

I also buy the ravioli and pack it in my kids lunches sometimes for a hot lunch. They love it! Also those red rock deli honey and sea salt peanuts are the best! I haven’t been able to find them in my locals lately which sucks but fun gets crossed they get some more soon 🤞🏼

Tortellini or Ravilioli went through a phase in the 90s of being served as a started with Ranch mixed with Parm--maybe the kids would enjoy? You ate them cooked, but cold.

Awesome haul! A good tip if you ever see the fresh pasta on clearance we get a pile and stick in freezer then defrost, make up a tomato based say like soup or bolognaise mix with out the meat and extra stock and make a soup with the filled pasta in it if that makes sense.
@TheBonellFamily2 жыл бұрын
Love that idea 💡 👍
@debbieblincoe98802 жыл бұрын
@@TheBonellFamily another idea we do with the frozen ones or cheap clerance onces is making up a bolgnase/italian mince meat mix and mix in the cooked filled pasta and put in dish to bake in oven with cheese and the sliced tomato on top.

A lot of people are probably going "eeewwww!" about the green milk, but I am so on board! Lime flavoured milk is such a treat for me - I probably only have it twice a year. It's almost impossible to find in most shops these days and when I do find it, I'm so excited! :D

I never knew that about tomato sauce I've never in my life put sauce in the fridge, I use the big one to top uo a small one and leave both in my pantry 😳
@TheBonellFamily2 жыл бұрын
Yep, says it right on the bottle - Store in a cool dry place. Shake well before use. Refrigerate after opening. 🙂

Cold tomato sauce on a hot meat pie is the best...that's why you put it in the fridge

The stuff has so many additives you wouldn’t think it would need refrigerating to preserve it - it should last into the next ice age!

I'm surprised with all those kids your buying stuff already Prepared and not teaching them to save money by doing all the preping at home !
@TheBonellFamily2 жыл бұрын
No need for you to be "surprised" at all. hahaha We do loads of cooking from scratch too and make our own cakes and slices etc for snacks and school lunches. I believe everything in moderartion and there's nothing wrong with using some pre-prepared foods. Sometimes "spending or not spending" money on convenience foods is less important than actually "spending" time with family. I'd much rather spend time with my kids than stand in a kitchen all day, everyday, cooking ;-) But that's just me. ;-)
