I remember reading that part when Pennywise take the form of a werewolf.

Oh yeah, I highlighted that description of Eddie Corcoran searching for the creature's zipper as well. His incredulity reminded me of how Stan responds to what he sees at the Standpipe later in the book -- "there were things that were not supposed to be. They offended any sane person's sense of order." (page 436) Mike's bird was a manifestation of IT that always confused me. The bird is described as being from a science fiction movie that Mike saw ('Rodan' in 1956), but it's later revealed that this version of IT appeared to people in the distant past, long before that movie came out. Don't want to jump too far ahead in the story, just had to mention it. I'm not sure if "ka" or "ka-tet" were officially named concepts at this point in the King universe, but there are lots of strong indications in "IT" that The Loser's Club is very much a product of ka. "[Eddie] knew that what he had felt when approaching that house was about the same as what Bill had felt going into George's room. He did not feel as if he was in control of himself. He felt pushed." (page 314) And when Bill first saw Silver in a store window, he hadn't even been thinking about buying a bicycle -- "he'd never thought much about owning a bike before last year. The idea seemed to come into his mind all at once." (page 224). It was destiny -- it was ka. Probably my favorite quote from the sections you covered in part 4: "Watch it, fuckface," Bill said, sounding uncannily like Henry Bowers. "I'll twist your head so far around you'll be able to watch when you wipe yourself." Ben collapsed, shrieking with laughter. (page 295) Friends making friends laugh, in spite of the traumatic experience with the very thing they are laughing at.

Poor Stan was too fragile. I truly regret that we don't get to experience 'Adult Stan' returning to Derry. Good point about Mike's bird, although he thought the bird was reminiscent of Rodan, but not in appearance. I just looked up images of Rodan and he looks like an absurd Pterodactyl Godzilla! Very funny and not what I was expecting! It's been a long time since I've reread this one, so when I get to the part about other people seeing the bird I'll pay close attention. I can't remember off the top of my head. [Don't worry about getting ahead in the story. I don't mind.] I do love the weaving of ka throughout King's works. It's like a fun treasure hunt, especially when I've forgotten (or just plain missed) references over the years. And yes, the friends bonding so tightly, laughing together and helping each other just warms my heart. :)

I had the same thing happen with this channel. I didn't see anything for months and finally decided just to go look and maybe rewatch a couple older ones and realized I had missed a ton!

I really love Mike's relationship with his family, particularly with his Father. It's such a beautiful relationship.

Nell appears as the cop of a DIFFERENT town in the story and movie of Sometimes They Come Back. Well, he MIGHT have a different name in the movie, not sure anymore-- but he's Nell in the story. In the story he's a nice dude when they were kids who buys them pie at the diner when he's in there, but then when the remaining brother contacts him for help as an adult he turns out to be-- not quite an asshole, but definitely rather cold and unhelpful.
