first thing is you need a BFH (big f'n hammer) that hammer you have ain't cutting it. 2nd pretty doesn't matter when fabricating where no one will see. and C: on thinner metal as you weld, the heat from the welding should be enough to bend the metal. i like the way you make things work. also, i just thought of this but when you have big gaps you can use little pieces of used rods (remove the flux first) or thin scraps of metal to help fill the gaps. just tack them in the space and weld over them. keep up the good work. enjoy watching all your different projects.

12 years ago. I built a 4 wheeler out of a 1977 Subaru GL Wagon. Frame( unibody ) was all rusted out in the back around the rear end (Honestly the whole thing was a Rust bucket). I built a similar frame like you have done, But I re-installed the Subaru rear end. in it. Worked great climbed like a goat. I Should have kept it.

Should be a fuse up by the firewall drivers side that you can pull out to force it to be fwd only. It's purpose is to be able to run a donut tire in the back and not tear the transmission up while on the road. Believe it is a 20A fuse. Been a few years since I owned a wagon identical to that

Cap’n… I measure my procrastination in time… hours, days, years sometimes. But, I think I like your method better. I mean, if you measure it in “Rounds”… time becomes immaterial. No need to feel guilty or anxious about how long a project is taking… just point out that you will do it when you get “Round” to it!!! You know, I thought I was good at procrastination. But, you sir have totally re-imagined it! Thanx bud!!!

It must be a pain working on the gravel. I was thinking if you wanted a spot that was a little smoother spread some pea gravel out and some sand over that then roll it might be smoother and still drain good and you could also find stuff easier when you drop it.
