Juliana, I admire your fearlessness and hands-on get-it-done attributes, may I add a trick to your ever-growing building techniques remember to (measure twice and cut once) in this case use a piece of cardboard #1 first eyeball as closely as possible then a rough cut meaning, not your final #2 tape your pencil to a 1/2" or so spacer a little ticker then the pencil and just a little shorter to leave the marking tip sticking out as to write with. then hold your template as square and steading as possible and run the pencil jig along your cutting line with the wood on the surface that you are matching your cut to, good luck,

We woman can do anything we set our minds to. I’m 64 and literally just put one way perforated vinyl window covering on my 12 passenger van windows. You can’t tell that it wasn’t professionally done. I changed out the toilet this year and painted kitchen and living room. So many things. You’ve got this lady. So love your videos. Maybe next time use cardboard for a template. You are absolutely doing an amazing job.

Great work! I'm glad to see you got most of it done without the help of your brother. Side note, you can use a piece of cardboard to make a template when you where making the curve at the top. Then just trace that onto the wood. The end result looks great! Also, for the parts you aren't speaking in the video, you can do voice over in post to let us know what you are thinking and feeling.

If I have an annoying curve or odd shape I make a cardboard template saves me from angry wood throwing haha! And you gotta love dads with stockpiles of random wood etc! Looks great! Edit: voted again good luck I hope you win!

Handy tip: when I need to shape a board/floorboard to go around a curve, I use a small rectangle corrugated card with a hole at each end, one holds a q-tip (to prevent scratches), the other a pencil. As I move the nail along the curve, the pencil makes a copy on thinner cardboard which once refined, becomes the template. By doing this, I know the shape will be exact and I also don't ruin the board.

Next time. Use an old CD or a circular object with a hole in the middle. Put your pencil in the hole put your board against the wall up to the ceiling. With your pencil in the hole and the led is on your board. Roll the outside edge of the CD along the ceiling while you mark your board getting the line matching the ceiling curve. You can do this laying flooring also

Great job! If you'll be doing any cooking under those cabinets, a darker color might be a good idea. Grease rises with the heat and is a bitch to clean off white wood (well any wood, but a darker color will hide it better)! You're soooo close to 100K subscribers - congrats 🤜🤛
