Your countenance, attitude, and gratitude for the life the Lord has given you is inspiring! Your calm spirit and the way you lovingly teach your children is a great example. Oh wow! This video had me smiling all the way through! Lulu planting the radishes, Brighton’s joy in the garden and the harvest, Royal trying the salad all on his own, Joyful thinning her carrots, Grace’s sweet smile and Wilder helping with the cattle panel. And I can’t forget Justice, his sly smile trying the salad. Your kids are such treasures! And the best part is that you have made them so, your sweet, gentle and wise ways with them make my heart swell. Thanks so much for bringing us on your journey, this video made my day. I also appreciate so much your mental health wisdom. It can take a lifetime to learn these things, but here you are, so young, and you already know how to nurture yourself. Bravo!

Life can be hard at time, I have been fighting breast cancer since 2016, and at time I feel like giving up, but my faith in the Lord and the strength I get from my children and grandchildren have helped me. Bri, little FIG TREE INFO! I’m in south Italy and have fig trees and they get huge. Plus for your garden, it’s important plant away from any area where your foods/veggies grow, because there will eventually be tons of fruit that drops like crazy and it makes a really sticky mess underneath cos there is no way you can pick them all! They also have runner roots 🙈when they get big! You’re doing a great job Bri! The garden is looking incredible and, most beautiful if all, is that you and the children look so happy outside too!

The fig tree made it alive, YEA!!! It looks great. When I watched the farm video I was amazed at how I sent it right before the farm video came out. Don't you just love how that worked out?! As if it was a little love worked out from above. I know that the butterfly weed is your favorite because you said it in one of your videos from your 1st year youtubeing. I am finally buying seeds that are native to my area this year. I love figs got my 1st tree from my best friend last year. Sunflowers are my favorite flower. We rent our home so everything I have is in free plastic pots because I don't want to lose anything when we eventually find our forever home. Your friends at LandTreAir farm made a fence out of cattle panels in one of their 1st videos, I statrted watching them at your recommendation from their 1st video. A cattle panel fence is a brilliant idea! You can create an extra bed around your garden, along the cattle pannel walls & grow things that need to be trellesed up the walls. Pumkins, loofah, butternut squash, 🍅, etc., etc., etc. 💙 the shirt :-)

Bri, I just have to tell you how delicious the young tender Broccoli Leaves are. We planted our first batch 5 years ago and it seems that every seed grew. I found that the little hens loved the leaves so after about two weeks I thinned the bed and had so many that I walked down to a neighbors house as she also has 4 little hens. I offered her to the bunch of leaves and she was thrilled as her mother grew broccoli and in the Spring would pick the lower leaves, was them and saute' them with onions. We love them with bacon bites also. Blessings to you and the Darlins from South Louisiana.

Well done! Just leave it to find its feet. It's too little to deprive it of its canopy...it needs its leaves to produce food for itself. Seaweed solution will help it to recover from transplant shock. And keep it damp. Planting in a garden is So Satisfying, eh? 😊👍🌳 God bless. X0 ( l have training in horticulture, and 57 years of experience! 😊)

This was such a heartwarming video, Bri, as you and your children worked in the garden together. I grew up on a farm with my 11 siblings and my parents and we had lots… LOTS of garden to care for but as you talked about with your children and us, you provide food for your family through the summer and into the winter!! There is nothing grander and better tasting then homegrown food. It was wonderful seeing the babies experience fresh garden plants basically for the first time and find out for themselves, that they really like it because of your encouragement and leader -ship…Such an amazing process enjoy see their little expressions from “I don’t like this” to “Hey! I do like it and I can feed myself and my little sister❣️”… very precious❣️❣️ I would be exhausted, years ago, and like you were saying in the video, I was just want to crawl under the blankets and rest or hide from the world but instead I will find myself going out to the garden. There is such a Peace which always came over me the longer I was working in the garden. I remember one day when my daughter would come home and simply say to me, “why are you always in the garden when I come home? What’s so great about working with dirt and plants? “ “ fast forward to when she became a mother and would come home from work and she said I discovered that I wanted to go out and work in the dirt and plant flowers and then I realized, did I understood why Mom was in the garden!! 😊❣️

If you're looking for any advice when it comes time to plant more fruit trees. Ben Hollar seems to be a wealth of knowledge on the subject. I bet he and his boys might even be willing to come help get your lil' orchard started.

Thank you for sharing how your feel/felt, and how you hoped to change those feelings-and it worked! Lovely life lesson. I’m a writer and some days…. It’s hard. I have six tea mugs-they all have a message. I choose which message I need for that day, as I head into my “library” to work. Some days it’s “For it to work, you have to work”. Some days it’s “I’d rather be in bed”. There’s the “We’re stronger than we feel”, and there’s the “Don’t grow up-it’s a trap”. And of course-the ever popular-“You’re my cup of tea”, and Enjoy the little things”. They all have their place, and my tea cup choice ritual makes me smile and stay the course. Have a wonderful day with your family.

Hi Bri, the garden looks great. Love that you all do it as a family. FYI the website you talked about for the fiber glass supports does still have them. If you look up “row cover supports” in their search tab you will find them. Hope that’s helpful.

I'm new to your channel and really enjoy watching your beautiful children. I'm so sorry your going through this trial, but you are really a strong woman and I will pray that you find happiness and remember you have your health, healthy children and a beautiful new home. The rest will fall into place. (((hugs)))

I have a 30 year old fig tree. My neighbour always tells me I need to prune it for more fruit but I can’t bring myself to do it. It is a beautiful tree. More fruit would be nice but I just adore the look of the branches and leaves.
