That paint job is awesome!! I'm so jealous that these kids get to be on a highschool mountain bike team! I would have loved that when I was a kid. Hooray to you for saving his bike. May your hands continually be blessed to do good deeds.

I run it on my commuter and I love it.! I work at a bike shop and could get a lot better, but still love my microshift.

@@nascarisawesome5018 Getting "better" drivetrains is a trap for a commuter. You're not gonna get there faster and tolerances are lower, as well as new parts are much more expensive. I'd rather pay 10 bucks for a new chain than 40+.

Adding the RB log to the handlebar was a great idea but you should have get rid of all letters. Beside of that minor critique a solid build and having some sort of a program to give bikes to kids who couldnt afford one is nothing but awesome.

most nica kids buy with the intent on thrashing. I’ve seen some of my teammates snap frames just because we’re all reckless xc kids who take it too far out of our comfort zone when we finally get a good downhill just because we never get them. (Unless you’re a Moab, corner canyon, or park city rider but most of them do outlaw instead.)

Don't forget to tell the kid that Red Bull is an adult drink that can be armfull to children. In my country, a lot of kids fall into the marketing of energy drinks and drink two or more cans a day. They have sleep problems, weight problems, and they don't perform well at school. Nice build!

Dont you dare oust microshift by calling it sub par. It's in no way sub par. The fact that it's still on the bike and what looks untouched is a testament to micro shift advents 9 spd. As it states in the website it's basically bombproof. Also I run it, and I can say that it is true!
