2:20 It Follows was shot digitally, so there wasn't a negative to go back to. Though they did remove the artificial sharpening that was applied to the old 2K master. And honestly, it's one of the best 2K "upscales" I've ever seen. Since it was shot spherically, there shouldn't be any extra information to squeeze out (ha) like there would be on an anamorphic shoot. But there's quite an impressive jump in detail.

Been a HUGE fan of what Second Sight has been doing for a few years. I live in New York and have had no problem ordering directly from them. Cost the same as ordering from the secondary sellers and you get it within a week of the release. Never had a problem with an order being damaged and never been disappointed with an order. And this release is no exception…Stellar! A great company who knows how to cater to and take care of their customers.

Jeff, we don’t align on a lot of our views but on this I am in total agreement with you. A really nice release by Second Sight. Great box set and an outstanding transfer. This is fantastic add to the collection especially if you are a horror fan. I imported mine straight from Second Sight.

Great review man 😊 This was a blind buy for me and loved the film and as always Second Sight have produced an amazing package. It is still currently in stock on their website and other UK retailers too. I think the initial run sold out so quick and it wasn't long before they announced there would be more stock. Highly recommended.

Wouldn't it be an upscale to 4k as I think it was shot in earlier HD cameras in 2k?

If it is a 2K filmed movie, then you would be right. It would have to be an upscale, as a 2K filmed and edited movie can never be a true full 4K film.

Jeff, I'd love to know you're feeling on why it is that rarely when a label changes artwork for 4k or blu ray releases, they are never as good as the original. Maybe 10 to 1 of original artwork being better than re releases and if John Q public thinks that is the case, and I believe they do, why not go original? Copyright rules maybe?

Recently i bought the limited edition of Green Room, i am pissed, why would they sell a region B locked blu ray with their limited edition sets, its almost pointless to buy the limited editions if it comes with a locked blu ray? Thats why it’s more expensive right? You are buying both copies of the film, but the blu ray is region locked, it’s trash.
