I have learned a lot from your videos. Bought the one you call "The "Beast /Monster" with 2 motors and 2 batteries and weighs 122lbs. Tops the list of 0-20mph. I had made my mind up just before your video of it came out. I'm a beginner (70 years old) But when younger I rode dirt bike so I have some background. I donated some blood learning to/not use PAS. This bike you're on today, You have been nice about it, Flat paved ground, and that's about it. Thanks.

I would never put this battery in my house or car. It's got a mislabeled battery. Lies about the capacity is never a good sign and will almost always be the cheapest cells money can buy. These cheap cells are not rated for such high current output. If anything does go wrong, there is nobody to sue. This is coming from China with basically no American company involved who has insurance and builds proper batteries. American courts have no jurisdiction over Chinese companies.

I have virtually the same bike from Amazon called the Velectrec City Range 4.0. Mine has an 18 amp hour instead of 20 and an possibly even worse saddle. I am 6 foot, 170 lb. and can go over 30 mph on the flats, but needs peddling to go up the steepest hills.

Do not charge indoors? That doesn't instill a lot of confidence. Is the battery UL Listed? Hope it at least has a BMS. I know it's a cheap bike with cheap components but for a little more money, you can get a bike with hydraulic brakes and more hill climbing torque. I would pass on this one but for those that would consider this bike, the first thing I would do is swap out the rotors to 180mm and add hydraulic calipers. The only thing I like about this bike is the top speed. All and all I would get something better, after you pay for upgrades you're not saving any money. I do appreciate this channel for reviewing these budget ebikes, most are pretty decent for the modest price.

There isn't much good things about this bike, what fun is it when the only time you can actually go fast is when you have a perfectly straight long road. My 50cc moped from the 1990s gets to 20mph twice as fast as this bike and I think that thing is slowwww.

@ramborambokitchenkitchen63575 ай бұрын
Mechanical brakes aren't even that much cheaper than hydraulic so it's annoying that manufacturers still use them, especially on something that is capable of over 30mph. Obviously they don't care about safety lol.

@@ramborambokitchenkitchen6357 i hate the fact on my rad runner 2 i have to keep adjusting them all time. will not stay tight and get lose
@ramborambokitchenkitchen63575 ай бұрын
@@chrislognshot you shouldn't need to adjust them more than like once a month but it's been about a decade since I had a bicycle that had mechanical calipers so my memory is a little foggy tbh. So dumb that manufacturers still use them in the first place as hydraulic brakes aren't even much more money but the stopping power is significantly better especially on ebikes which are all much heavier than they were when I first got into them. I remember my first bike being a 24v 7ah battery with a 300 watt motor top speed 15mph and it cost me £1700 at the time 😂.

If you are in the slightest bit handy, you are far better off buying a cheap walmart bike and converting it. Because the single largest price component in this is the battery and the battery is mislabeled. This is not 960watts. It's got the cheapest blue wrap batteries that won't do 100 cycles, probably not even 50 cycles and or 2 years. You can buy a conversion kit without the battery for 150 bucks. Really, I would recommend buying an older name brand bike not from Walmart and upgrading it.

Anything that can go faster than 15mph should be legally required to have hydraulic brake calipers.

The brakes supplied as standard are extremely dangerous. They will fail without warning. Customer service was very good - sent me replacement brakes for my M3 - but sent me exactly the same rubbish as supplied as original. I have had both brakes fail whilst approaching a busy junction - no way to safely stop a bike of that weight with the soles of your shoes alone. Sohamo did reimburse me 50% of the purchase price, but I now have a totally useless e-bike...

11.2 pounds for a 960wh battery? LIES. LIES. LIES! That thing is nowhere near 960wh. Most batteries with 960wh weigh more like 20 pounds. You will never get 100 cycles out of this battery. Companies never lie about good cells. Whenever some battery has some impossible spec, like getting 960 watts out of 11.2 pounds including all the plastic and metal of the box, it is always the lowest quality battery money can buy.
