IT HAPPENED!! - Marvel vs Capcom Reveal and Thoughts

I didn't think this would happen, but Marvel vs Capcom is back and will be out this year!
I have a little familiarity with these games, but I can't wait to play these and dive deeper into these games. For those that have played this before, what are your thoughts and suggestions on how to play these?

Even though i wasnt ever really huge into fighting games, i always appreciated the marvel v capcom series. I loved the idea of bringing those two together, and i loved the visuals!

It does look good and still holds up pretty well today. I'm glad to see it back. I'm hoping it can lead to more in the future.

That is something I would love to see happen. It seems like Capcom and SNK are on good terms with each other, so the possibility is there. Perhaps in a year or two, we can see it.

I tell you what I would of loved to see since they added the punisher beat em up game...the X-Men arcade game

I did hear there was a beat em up for the X-Men. That would have been awesome. The one I want to see get a release is the Alien vs. Predator beat em up that Capcom did.

I’m beyond hyped for this! While I don’t play the game competitively I really enjoy the over the top nature with all the crazy character super moves. Also having these game physically is a added bonus too.

I love theses games so much I bought the MVC2 Arcade 1up Cab. Never been big on Online grinding. But if My or my brothers friends were around. I would stack up the bodies as they tried to do everything to beat me and make me pass my controller.

I would like to learn these games and be competent at it. I did dabble a tiny but on the Original Xbox and the PS3, but not really. I think this will be a good time to get into it and for those new to it, to see what the hype was about all those years ago.

@@JonMcBon I taught my nephew how to do Team Hyper Combos in MVC2 and Super's in Injustice when he was 3. My Friend who thought he was gonna bully the kid got wrecked just because I taught the kid "When the Meter is Full press these two buttons".

Any word on when it’s coming out? Will it be digital on PS5?

We just have a loose release of 2024, but I would like to guess sometime around EVO or shortly afterward. It's both digital and physical on PS4, but it does work via backwards compatibility on PS5. You will be good picking it up for PS4.
