Dear Sarah, I’m not a knitter but I love your vlogs. On your color works socks, it appears you have added an additional row of leaves on the unfinished sock. I hope I’m wrong but I wanted to point that out to you just in case. Your creations are lovely and I always look forward to seeing you and your works in progress. Have a great fun week with your hubby and children.💐💕

Love your podcast!! Thank you for sharing for beautiful craft with us ans inspire us, I am from a country were knitting and crochet are not a deep and beautiful tradition as in yours, but I do try to increase it and keep it in my family, my grand mother taught me crochet when I was 6 and I learn knitting at 14, so your podcast is one of my favorite moments of the week. Trust you keep well and sharing with us for long time! Oh and my best whises for the festival!! Loves from Mexico ❤

I'm really looking forward to the k2p2Festival and to meeting you in real life! As far as the colorwork cuffs are concerned, I've switched to not catching the threads at all unless they skip more than 5 stitches, sometimes more. Surprisingly, it works quite well! I don't get on very well with the shorty needles either, I prefer to use these bendable triple needle sets, Addy Crasy Trio and the like. It's a compromise between my preferred set of needles, which leads to tangled threads with cororwork, and Magic loop, which drives me crazy, and not just with socks.

I’m knitting that sock pattern for my first ever attempt at colour work. I did the cuff being very careful to keep my floats neat yet loose and then I did the heel and gusset. Then I decided to try it on and I have discovered that the last two rows of the chart I wasn’t as careful in keeping the floats loose and neat so I can’t get the sock over my ankle … so I’m going to start again…😊

Try pulling out just the two tight rounds. If you put the sock on two needles-- the other one can be smaller size, you can try on the sock and see if that part fits. If so, then you can redo just those two rounds and save ripping all th rest. If this is OK, just join in the CC yarn when you run out. Be careful that you use the correct size needle when you resume.

I decided I just HAD to join the sock cuff club. But I can see I will have many CUFFS only sitting in the 'to do' basket lol! I know you will be very busy working towards the knit and purl event. it's amazing how much time it requires to set up such an event but it's going to be amazing to be with so many yarn lovers. Oh, we say 'spinach' with a 'ch' like the start of the word 'chicken' so it sounds like spinich - spin-itch (heheheheheheh) that cover design from Caitlyn Hunter is gorgeous and I can see why you fell in love with it. I am ONLY a v neck person too so I think I might need to get that pattern. I'm so glad that you have decided to accept some gifts because the nature of human beings is that want to give back and it's actualy a generous thing to ACCEPT. I had a very old music teacher (piano) who said those of us who like to give must also give that pleasure to others and accept graciously and I never forgot that. I'm not a round yoke lover either because I always see design faults with round yokes but like you, I love the colour work. thank you again for the episode. I love Tuesdays (that's when your podcast arrives in Australia)

I just thought, that if you want colourwork socks, or colour work on top of your socks, you could always duplicate stitch the pattern on later. That might help with the stretch. 🙂

I stopped catching floats. Now I just twist the yarns, and I'm much happier.

That cardigan on your wall is a beautiful piece of knitting and a great design. It's a round yoke, and you said you don't care for them, but you also said it's a favorite item of clothing. Hmmmmm. :) As always, your posts are one of my favorirte parts of Mondays.

Sarah I love your new color work socks! I’m not adventurous YET to try that. (your pattern looks a bit different on each sock 🤔….maybe it’s just the way you’re holding it)

Sarah, I love the socks! I was not sure I should point this out, but I think you missed the second leaf on your first sock. But nothing is perfect in nature 😊

Hello Sarah, I noticed what I think is a mistake in the second sock colourwork, there is an extra set of leaves.

Is it me or did you knitting your socks different? Looks like one sock has 1 leaf pattern and your second sock has 2 leaf patterns in the color work. I love watching your podcasts!

Another great video! Thank you for talking about frogging sometimes. My family always thinks I am crazy if I frog something, but it's usually because I didn't understand something completely the first time, and IT IS WORTH IT to frog it and do it correctly. I'm always learning, stretching, and growing in my craft.❤🧶
