Wike has become the problem of PDP but when wike was funding the party and was a very strong opposition voice,he was the best thing that ever happened to PDP. PDP is a joke. Wike is and will remain the clog in the wheel of PDPs progress until PDP learns to obey its constitution. Atiku,Saraki and alot of them left the party and almost killed it and now the want to lay claim to the leadership of the party. This is the beginning of the end of PDP. Wike really sacrificed alot for the party. If he wanted APC to win the governorship of Rivers,he wud have don it but he left the governorship with PDP and supported the President.

He came into prominence being the spokesman for CUPP with numerous press statements on INEC and imo state then used his popularity to win a seat in the national assembly. So far, his tenure in the house has been unremarkable. Now again, he is trying to raise his profile with an unnecessary fight with his party but when an agreement is made with the party, he feels that he will be in a good position to compete as the PDP presidential candidate in 2027. That's why he keeps making references to the new young Senegalese President. He's figured that being a spokesman for a "coalition" gives him a good profile and better position in committees in the house. In 10 months in the house, have you heard him raise any opposition to any government policy? Hence political opportunist.
