September is a great month for fishing, usually loads of mackerel around and the bass are running well 🎣🎣

I don’t tend to fish the river, mainly because I prefer it out to sea but the river can be good. It holds bass, gilts, rays, plaice. It is a bass nursery so catch & release only and you’re not allowed to use live bait. 🎣🎣

Definitely mate, I like lots of fish but I’ll take a mackerel any day. We normally slice a couple thinly and have them as sushi with wasabi, soy and pickled ginger then cook the rest 😋🎣🎣

Very good video/video’s show’s it as it is, only critique is that your both not wearing life saving equipment of any kind especially in that weather where it’s so easy to go overboard. Carry on making these good vids but please wear life support. Chris

Never had one there! I don’t normally fish the river but I’ve had bass, pollock and strap conger from near to that spot. Good to know there might be triggers there 🎣🎣

To me, going out without life jacket (put on! not in a locker!) is actually impossible even in flat calm conditions. It's an ocean not playground so, mate, safety first please. Unless you don't care about yourself and your loved ones.

Ah, so I’m assuming that you’ve also done your research and risk assessment into other activities such as coastal cliff path walks or strolling around a harbour or pier. It is a fact that these are higher risk areas for accidentally ending up in the water than from a boat so it would be crazy not to wear a life jacket in these situations - unless you don’t care about yourself or loved ones…

Thanks for the feedback. I do wear a life jacket if the situation warrants it but that would mean I got my planning wrong or got caught out by unexpected weather. In my Warrior, with thigh high gunwales, if I thought there was a risk of going overboard I wouldn’t be fishing or filming at all. Glad you enjoyed the video 🎣🎣

I like your videos but have to agree with wearing life jacket, why take the risk, they don't restrict your fishing and would definitely save your life if you went overboard
