I have two older sisters, so around this time I was nine, and this music imprinted on me. Even though in my teen years I became an Elvis fan, and later The Beatles, this is still incomparable music and timeless.

Song from the 1950s is still applicable today. Funny how times change change, technology changes, taste changes, yet struggle with love stay the same. Augh

Lucky us! The 50's were full of terrific voices, male and female, and the music to match. But Don Cornell stands as one as one of the best - ever. Diminishing no one, this singer just had all the voice qualities. I'm saddened we didn't see one of his performances in FL. before he passed. Certainly was my loss.

Yes, I agree this re-record of by Cornell of his hit with Sammy Kaye is actually a better version, especially the ending.

They copy Sammy Kay’s arrangement and it’s fine. Don seems a bit more relaxed here but I prefer Kay’s version that got Don his start as a soloist
