I sit down with my mother, who opened up about her decision to leave my father. She packed her bags, and moved back in with her mother (my grandma) to start over, and give me a better life. We talk about the strength that takes, the red flags she encountered, and how it changed her to be more independent, and resilient. Your story hits me sooooo hard! I lost my husband to brain cancer 10 years ago. He was 26 years old. I just want to let you know you have experienced the miracle of true unconditional love! U are now left with very high expectations that don't really exist anymore. I have still not remarried. Your story reminds me soooo much of mine I'm so glad I've found u on here. Your very strong! Stay strong! Never give up on finding it again either. If anyone deserves it or let alone even knows what it is... is YOU! I am so sorry for your loss also so blessed that u got to experience the miracle! It took me 10 long years to even realize it was a miracle. Even though we didn't so call "win" in the end.... WE DID! Much love you girl it takes a special heart to do what u have done and a very special love that u were soooo lucky to have. 10 years later I still remember everything like it was yesterday! It changes you FOREVER! And he is with you! You will see all the signs for the rest of your life!

I wanted to send this message to you. Your shorts have been popping up on my page and at first I didn’t know why. Then once I watched a few and then videos my heart was hurting and loving at the same time for you. I lost my partner while I was in the hospital battling cancer. We owned a business together where we worked for our city doing landscaping and commercial snow removal. My phone rang mind afternoon from one of my employees letting me k ow there was a terrible accident, at first I didn’t believe him but unfortunately it was true. I had my friend bring me to the trauma hospital and I got to see my living Allen. Looking at him I would never have thought he had been hit by a car and flew 70 feet across the highway his beautiful face was still beautiful. That was 8 years ago coming this August and I wanted to tell you that this time has past and I have learned to live life a new way because even with all this time my heart still hurts and I do still have days where I just cry out of nowhere. I did meet my wonderful husband about 5 years after loosing Allen and didn’t want a relationship but somewhere I believe he was sent to me from my what I know call Allen, my rock and roll Angel. From our first date I have told Michael that a piece of my heart went to heaven the day I lost Allen but that is have enough love in my heart for our wonderful relationship. The reason for this long winded message is letting you know that there is no moving on with your life or that saying time heals all wounds, it’s more living a different way of life then we once had and knowing it’s ok to always grieve and miss your special person who is now our angels. Some days will still be shitty even after 8 years but there will be more days that you will have reasons to smile and never ever listen to anyone who says it’s time to move on you’ve grieved long enough, those toxic people I shut out of my life. I still speak with a grief therapist when times are harder then I like. I hope you find a bit of comfort from a stranger sharing her experiences and how my path and life has been since I lost my love.

I lost my high school sweetheart at 29 and can feel your pain and know he'll always be looking out for you, he spoke that way. I don't think they were even thinking about it. Ultimately, marriage shouldn't change your relationship dynamic. They just wanted to spend their last moments together.
