Arielles Chambers represents the WNBA so she is responsible for the disrespect the WNBA projects toward CC. Lets not forget, the WNBA rewarded Dijonna Carington with the most improved player reward, the game following DjC eye gouge incident, without a peep about the foul commited upon CC. If that's not enough, they then gave CC her rookie of the year award at the Fever practice facility without a public acknowledgement. Arielle could speak out about these offenses and when she doesen't, she's no longer an innocent bystander but part of the problem. She should be calling out Cathy Englebert for her abusive disrespectful attacks against CC because Englebert is at the center of all these issues.

CC is in love with the idea of the wNBA as idealised when CC was a kid. Not so sure she loves the reality of the players' prejudices.

@@ericMT The number 2 is important for sure. Jan 22, 2002. A lot of two's. Also her favorite player wore 23 so making the very adjacent 22 her own could be like Kobe switching to the 23 adjacent 24 to distinguishing himself from his favorite player who also wore 23, and is the reason why CC's idol wore 23 to begin with.

Listen up, everyone, I was just thinking about this whole racial aspect of this conflict. It came to me that the gestalt can be reframed as an economic class issue. Here's my specific insight. Dejonai (?) Carrington smacking Kate Martin in the face is being attributed to animus against Caitlin as Kate is her bestie, right? And Kate holds up her chin and shakes it off. It's not a racial thing, this is the cultural difference between the hood and the suburbs. The racial difference is incidental history. The essential conflict is class based. Who's to blame for that? I submit that the new aristocracy, corporate billionaires are who's to blame. Put into that light, the answer is clear. Get these women paid their worth, this is the root of their grievances.
@sarahyoung5839 күн бұрын
Class difference does have a lot to do with some of this, but I'm not sure DiJonai came from a low income family. She went to Stanford for a couple of years and sort of talks like she's from a more middle class educated background.
@itsjustkosi72099 күн бұрын
what’s your opinion on cc smacking cecilia zandalasini of the lynx and pushing vanloo of the mystics?
@paulcaron-wm4tk9 күн бұрын
@@itsjustkosi7209 I don't know about those things, and I am not making moral judgments on either 'side'. I'm commenting on different cultural styles of response, and what I am saying is that the basis for division that is driving the conflict is not what we think it is.

@@paulcaron-wm4tk and who told you dijonai is from the hood? she went to a private christian school in california 💀
@paulcaron-wm4tk9 күн бұрын
@@itsjustkosi7209 I bet her parents didn't grow up in that milieu. She didn't get her attitude from that school. That is generational oppression expressing itself. My point is that that oppression consists of economic exclusion by the ruling class. Slavery is the extreme form of economic oppression and the racial aspect is not whats essential, that is a historical accident. That economic inequality is still going on as is the grievance. In this case Caitlin Clark is being attacked as a scapegoat because the ruling class is out of reach. They always will be. But she will make a better ally, whether people can see it or not. The class struggle is not between the poor and the middle class. That is what they want us to focus on. The middle class is in the process of being disassembled as we speak.
