What we are experiencing today is the result of the damage done to the environment by politicians and powerful businessmen. Isn't it the responsibility of the government to protect elephants, which provide foreign exchange to this country? It is even mentioned in the current government's environmental policy. But why is this destruction of forests and wildlife being done? I kindly remind, that this earth has belongs to both humans as well as animals. After all human also an animal who are controled by the environment (eg: tsunami, covid 19 and other pandemic) it self and not a superstitious powerful being sent by god to destroy this beautiful planet earth. Therefore beg from the government to not to punish our wild animals, one of Sri Lanka's major economic income source, who are helpless and ignorant of the problems created by Sri Lankan people themself, in this cruel way. Therefore, I kindly request that solutions be taken correctly, even if they are long-term. Otherwise, in the near future, Sri Lankan wild animals like ELEPHANTS, LEOPARDS, BOARS, BEARS, ELKS and many others will be limited only to photographs...
