You need to clean you ears. Start at 0:08. You can clearly hear FR - agile" It's as loud and plain as day. This stupid argument has been debunked a million times - even by MGM and IMBD who have the actual SCRIPT available to read in which McGavin's character's lines are: *The Old Man* : Aaah! "Fra-GEE-leh!" It must be Italian! *Mother* : Uh, I think that says FRAGILE, honey. *The Old Man* : Huh? Oh, yeah. Not to mention, all you have to do is play the clip and you can hear him say it so idk why stupid idiots like you keep it going just to try and be edgy.

Fun fact about about the crate in the scene. The crate had to be cut down a bit to fit the front door. That’s why it says HIS END UP besides THIS END UP.

MANDELA EFFECT TIME! I could have sworn in the original the old man said "RAGILE" in stead of "FRAGILE". Namely because if you look at the crate from the other angle the "F" is clearly obstructed. Even in the shot of the word You can clearly see the "F" is off camera, Which is also indicated by how the "R" is parallel to the "H" and "I" in the sentence "This side up", The R Is also cut off, and his hand hovers over the "R" first. Because of this I always through the joke was He thought it said one thing because he didn't see the "F". Then again the joke doesn't really play in to anything because the lamp doesn't break when he opens it. I know the mom breaks it later in the movie. Does anyone else remember this?
