Mr. Tom, tears ran from my eyes when you told us about your accident, a freak accident for sure, caused you so much havoc to your health. You will be in my prayers. You sure did raise some wonderful children, for your son to not let the ball drop and juggle all he did to care for his entire family, he's a good man. Congrats to your son and his wife on little Thomas. He is a cutie. Glad you have two grandchildren now. Grandchildren are precious, I know, I have 4, three girls and 1 boy. I know Gracie and the Kitty Krew missed you terribly. As a retired ER nurse, I have assisted the doctor's many times in chest tube placements, and I know what you went through. Glad you got to the ER when you did as you well know by now, you would have died for sure. Glad you are at home recuperating and that your children and grandson could be there for you. All I can say is that you are one lucky man. Please don't overdo. I know men are stubborn, but you need to be extra careful as you could have a relapse. COPD and lung injuries are a bad combination, so do what you can within reason and don't push yourself too hard. If your friends on KZbin can help you in any way, you know to let us know and we will take care of it. Our hearts and prayers are with you Tom, my friend.

Bless your heart, Mr. Tom! I'm glad to see you are on the mend. Yes, accidents happen, and that I know! I took a big spill last Thanksgiving over a big dog bed. I did a body slam on the floor. I cracked a rib and pulled some ligaments in my shoulder joints. It took a bit to heal, and all is good now. Congratulations on your new grandson... he's a cutie! Congratulations on your new grand baby. I know you havd been a lonesome dove since 2019. It's unfortunate tbat you had to get broke to break tbe COVID jail. I tell you. When I heard your daughter came with Davy, I almost started crying. I bet he's almost a grown man. And your son. That is the epitomy of family. We do what needs to be done. I bet he is near exhaustion, bless his heart. You raised a winner. Yep, those 2 little stumps got ya. It was a single stump that was shaped like a cupped hand tbat caught my left foot. It sent me flying. I could see if I fell down I was gonna bust my right arm up very badly. So I did everything I could to stay on my feet. I came down so hard on my right foot. Messed the discs up in my low back and it wasn't til 2 and a half years later when I insisted on an MRI of my hip that it was discovered the cartlidge was all torn up. They kept telling me the pain in my hip was coming from my back. Because they lated so long on the MRI, arthritis had gotten so bad tbey couldn't repair it. Then because of an accident when I was 28 the back surgeon told me for as l9ng as it would take him to fix my back, that because of my neck, i had a 94% chance of waking up paralyzed from the neck down. That was when I said, enough, get me a wheelchair. So glad you're gonna heal up good. What a wonderful blessing to have such great medical care. I will keep you in my prayers. Maybe now the COVID spell has been broken and you'll get to see all your family again more often. Thanking God you didn't land on your hip. Love you Mr. Tom. Speedy recovery.

Collapsed lungs hurt my Daddy’s lung was nicked during his open heart surgery. His lung collapsed post op after surgery. He had to have lung surgery after opened heart surgery. It was no bueno. Oh Mr Tom, it is that quick. Constantly telling myself “don’t fall.” Walking with cane is dangerous, using rollator keeps me steady but sometimes I can’t take with me. I have had to use the I’ve fallen and can’t get up, two replacement hip joints later and over 65, doctors telling me falls are the most dangerous for us seniors. Please take care, ask for help when you need, baby yourself when you can and it’s okay to slow down. Prayers for you.

First (always first) we're sending lots and lots of *prayers* for you, Mr. Tom! And of course congratulations on Baby Tom! What a beautiful little guy. I couldn't help but notice that little sign on his hospital crib: "I'm a breastfed boy!" Hurray for Mom (and Dad) on making that decision! Now when it comes to decisions... driving yourself to the hospital with a collapsed lung? Maybe not. But on the other hand, I can see why you did it. Only 2 ambulances for the area? That really is pretty scary. But that discussion is for another day. I'm just so grateful that you got such excellent care and you really do seem to be on the road to recovery. You are one tough Kitty Krew manager. (Spooky would have been the acting CEO, I'm assuming, especially in your absence? He and your son did a great job.) You seem to have a great attitude toward getting well -- a great balance of rest and activity. So the word for the day is: "Mr Tom, you've got this one!" Blessings to you!
