Also, in the book it is said that the adults were complicit. They knew about the murder thing living in the sewer but were manipulated in not doing anything and forgetting it, which is why the adult version of the kids didn't remember the murder clown

Pennywise uses a form of this kind of mine control. He can hypnotize you, and that’s part of the reason why Georgie was so susceptible. That’s why he was able to get so many victims. You have to be one of those people with a strong mind to break out of the hypnosis

"It" is the kind of horror movie I want more of. You can be a scary movie with bright lighting and colours and vibrant characters, I just get turned off by the washed out dark look of most horror movies

I will always have a place in my heart for the original. Tim Curry’s pennywise was my childhood trauma. Part one of the new version was excellent. The children were fabulous. Part two you should watch to finish up the whole story, but honestly it’s not as good. Bill Hader was the saving grace.

I love the fact that this story shows the real life demons can be scarier than the ones we create in our heads. The things those children have to face, all horrors that are very real and geniunely terrifying. And they can haunt people for life.

I love this movie. Part 2 was, fine, but it's never really fun once they are adults. The original miniseries scarred me for life. I watched it when I was in elementary school and Tim Curry's Pennywise had me terrified of clowns and red balloons all my life. I still til this day cannot watch that movie or look at photos of Tim Curry in the makeup, and I have tried. But, this movie is fabulous. Bill is a fabulous Pennywise. He just cracks me up. The cast is also stellar. I am so happy you finally checked it out, Chuu!

I personally prefer the original mini series. Beverly and Mike’s characters and development make so much more sense. They gave Mike’s storyline to Ben in this film which was a choice. Idk how the remake managed to be less progressive than the original but they managed it. The actors did great, though.
