Shocked myself today trying to shut one off and I removed the rubber topper from the sparkplug.. well the rubber came off the wire too and my thumb completed the circuit. But then it still ran!! Had to choke it off

That’s not a pleasant feeling lol. It’s even worse when you get bit by a car or truck though!

Hello! Not sure which area you’re from, but we’re having some beautiful weather in my area, 80 degrees in November!

I’m from Evansville but moved to Mount Vernon about a year ago. Same odd weather here as well

Hey I'm just curious can the coils ground itself actually go bad I feel like I've cleaned all my connections up well and checked my switch I've even replaced the switch and it's still not shutting off so do you think I'll need to replace the coil?

I replied to your email, but long story short I think swapping in a new coil is your best next step in troubleshooting.

Do you have the switch wires crossed?if it doesn't shut off it's most likely a bad switch, check your wires to see they are connected, hold choke all the way up,choke it out, will shut it off

Just found this video. Baffled by how ridiculous replacing the switch is lol

They really don’t design them to be easy for the average person to work on them anymore. Some of my great grandfather’s old power tools are super repair friendly, but they were made to last for generations back then too.

Flip the choke all the way up.its sounds like the on/switch is bad
