@@danielpomeroy That's pretty cool! i can not justify buying a new sled with these prices they are, so I'll stick with these gems!

@AveryHastings1 absolutely I traded it in for a new Yammy 340 enticer.when prices for new sleds were reasonable.
@AveryHastings117 күн бұрын
@danielpomeroy those are sweet sleds. My buddy has Yamaha exciter 440 that unfortunately a seal went and it blew the motor. Those machine prices tripled with "Larry enticer" lol

So why didn't it start 4 years ago after shutting down? How and when did the wires get switched?
@AveryHastings112 күн бұрын
@@innovativecaveman the hot engine melted all of the snow blowing in through the vents. When I shut it down to wait an hour it was enough time to likely soak the points, or dry and corrode. A few days after that happened I had switched wires, swapped plugs, check the kill switch and gone through the external electrical etc to see if i could find it. Fast forward 4 years to this video we again started outside the motor and went through everything before taking it apart to access the points (internal) after filing them and reassembly the wires were forgotten swapped on the coil packs ( reversing the timing) so the cylinders were not firing on the correct stroke and we were getting backfiring from left over fumes. After swapping the wires it fired right up. the initial cause was dirty points, the secondary cause was forgetting the retrace our diagnostic steps and putting things back where we found them

You’re missing the air tube/toolbox for fresh air into the fan. I have a 77 and 79 sting sitting in my barn. Raced them for years. I’m sure it was my brother on FB scorpion page that helped you lol. He bought out every scorpion dealer he could find. Has tons of sleds and parts. I’m pulling my 77 out soon. You have a nice straight and clean sled there. Oh easy on the primer lol it didn’t need it either time. 😁
@AveryHastings111 күн бұрын
@1953fords I do have them they are on the table behind the camera man, I primed it cause the fuel is pissing out of the gas lines in 4 different spots so 2 primes is really only 1 and some air lol I've probably spoken to your brother before I think I bought a rear shock off him

@ ok sounds good. Very fun sleds and quick for what they are. Scorpion was ahead of their time I feel. I still have 3 and gave my brother 6 or 7 others. Just had no room lol. Enjoy. I’m not on FB but I think he is scorpion farm?
