The first foul on Foden just outside the box was definately an intentional blatant foul by the last man back on someone with a clear goal scoring opportunity and therefore according to the rule book is a clear sending off & the ref refused to acknowledge it at all or go to VAR (but “it’s Anfield”). Then later while on a yellow card for a separate offence, he should have had another. He could have been sent off twice. Milner cannot be blamed for the tackle for the second yellow card. Player tend to push the boundaries. It the referee job to set boundaries in the game. The Ref was inconsistent at that game. I know it’s tough for refs, but that is why VAR was introduced, it’s not to show how poor ref are, but the opposite. Was an incredible game between two top teams.

Pep Guardiola says this is the best League in the World, we have been saying that over here for over 20 years. The Premier League is unpredictable every week, the small teams can play good football and will attack the top teams. That is why Pep has stayed in the Job longer than any other, he likes the challenge and enjoys it. In Germany he had Dortmund who would put up a fight, most matches it was easy for Bayern. Same thin in Spain with Barcelona, they had Real Madrid and most teams they just blew away with ease. In England he has Chelsea, Liverpool, Man United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Leicester, he has had mega money to spend on City. That still hasn't meant its easy for him in England, all the top Managers want to manage in the Premier League. We are lucky to have this League to follow every week and its been like this for many years, Alex Fergusons Man United. Wenger's Arsenal, Jose Chelsea who looked unbeatable at times. Then Pep at City and Klopp at Liverppol, now Tuchel will be amongst them at Chelsea. I can also see the English teams dominating the Champions League in the next few years, I don't see Real Madrid or Barcelona getting close to them or Bayern and PSG.

The main thing is that Pep and Jurgen have absolute respect for each other and are fighting against each other to the very limit but only on sporting terms. Once the game of football is over then they go back to being great admirers of each other, but during 90 minutes it is war. A beautiful rivalry.

Liverpool fan here. Milner was definitely a second yellow and hence red. 1st half man city were way better. 2nd half Liverpool were better. That mo salah goal is goal of the season level considering the defence he split through and the skill. But it was an excellent game no team deserved to lose.
@Classact183 жыл бұрын
Milner should have been a red, but what about the Kyle Walker foul the other week? Someone should have challenged him on this, just to clarify that this stuff happens for and against you.

Not only the second yellow before that a penalty was also not given, straight after that rash tackle by Milner Jesus was given foul for a well taken tackle as well...im no city fan but as a neutral I can say ref was biased for Liverpool . As a United fan, I envy the rivalry between City and Liverpool. We used to be the one having these “Classico” against our noisy neighbors and Liverpool. Now, all we can do is sit back, and be astounded and astonished at how they play fantastic football. We are so far behind, that I bet they don’t even see us as a threat moreover as equals anymore.
