LOL! Most IIT aspirants spend the better part of two years locked in a damp, ill-ventilated room reading & practicing. If they get selected, they spend four years locked in another damp, ill-ventilated room reading & practicing. At the end of these six years, 95% of them swear never to touch the hard sciences. Nearly 100% of them take a post with the first MNC they come across & flee India ASAP to get away from all the bad memories... And then they ask why IITians don't help the nation. :P
