After having mine for only a couple weeks, I'm very happy with it. It beats the hell out of the the HP I had for only 4 months. I haven't got to the ink change overs yet, but we'll see.

This printer is great until you go to buy more ink. The hack is to change the date on the initial setup screen to 2021 year. Power off the machine then remove ALL the ink cartridges and refill as needed with a needle and syringe as seen on KZbin. Then power back up and install the same cartridges when asked. It will then show them all as full.

Great info about the printer cable, the firmware update and the printer password on the back. Thank you! I just setup this printer for my parents. I wish the display was a touch-screen, but other than that, seems like a good printer for the money. The fax feature is nice as well.

Can you scan directly to your computer? Also, does it have a usb port that you can stick a flash drive into? Also, is the auto scanning duplex?

No usb port, it only scans one side at a time, I think if you use their software you can scan and it goes to the computer but I don’t have it installed, I just open a program on the computer and scan.

Can I print black if one of the colors cartridge is empty??

I haven’t run out of ink yet so I’m not able to test that, but I have never had a printer that would stop printing black if a color cartridge ran out.

@@justanotherday1974 My HP won't let me print black if color is empty. There is an answer on Amazon that says this one stops as well. I'm trying to find a printer that doesn't have this restriction.

@@DeviantSpark1 I wouldn’t know, normally on other printers I have had, if it said out of color, then in preferences I would choose black cartridge only and I could print.

That is what I hate, I need cheap ink, but it is a good printer and I scanned 8000 pages through the feeder and it’s still working, so I’m happy with it.

It is a little noisy, I think it’s a little more noisy than the hp I had, but I have scanned 10,000 pages with this and it’s still going, the only thing I don’t like is that it wastes ink cleaning once a week, the print cartridges lasted me 8 months and I only printed about 20 pages, the rest of the ink was wasted during its automatic cleaning, but once off brand ink comes out it won’t be so bad. I would buy another one over hp.

It will take legal size paper, I just tested it with regular paper and it does print on both sides, I would think it would print both sides on legal paper but I don’t have any of that paper to test it.
