The scene where they walk out the door one by one,... and Gord Downie is the last one to walk through the door, at the last moment he turns and looks right at the camera, then turns and walks out. Shivers!

I was lucky enough to see them within arm's reach. Standing mere feet from the stage I didn't really understand where I was. Watching videos and reading other people's comments I have come to understand how fortunate I am.

Some bands play music and you leave their show happy you had a good time. A few bands transmit a signal deep into your soul that carries long after the show is over. The Hip made every show last after the last note was fading. Thank you.

I’m on a journey to discover The Tragically Hip for the first time in my life. I’ve been listening for the past month and am in complete awe. Especially with this song. Gord Downie is like the Van Gogh of songwriting. Almost surreal, but dig a little beneath the surface and his words are so profound and relatable at the same time. He truly was an antenna for something beyond our understanding. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I don't even know if this makes sense but all I can think to say is "beautiful pain", there's hurt here but its expressed with much beauty. I wish I understood the story that's being told here in this video. I never knew of this band until recently, I wish I had...but music is timeless. RIP Mr. Downie, I understand very well why Canada loves you!! Much love to all from The UK.

There are lines in this song that resonate 10x deeper after you've reached a certain age/time of life. I've always loved this song deeply, but now as I find myself in my late 50s and doing a lot of introspection, lines like 'let's get friendship right' sung with the emphasis and emotion he sings it with...GD is truly unrivaled and so very deeply missed...

I love many genres of music ,and play guitar myself. But the Hip covered almost all the genres ,and at times blended all their personal preferences into their music. They made it !!No perhaps not in the U.S., but they played in many U.S. cities and were well received. You can hear the Stones ,you can hear country influence and even alternative ,but in the end that's what makes the Hip original and CANADIAN!! RIP GORDON!!

This was one of the most difficult song I've learned from The Hip. It's the chord changes and chords I'm not used to playing. And then there's the lyrics. It took awhile, but I can perform this song now. I can do 4 hours of singing and playing my guitar along with The Hip. I'm going to work on another 10 songs this winter. I started to work on The Hip songs in 2015, I play the rhythm for all the songs and I can do some solos like on New Orleans Is Sinking. In 2012 I started working on Elvis, and now I can perform 5 hours of Elvis. I can play my guitar along with most of the songs. I know it's hard for the band after losing Gord, it makes me sad sometimes. I know that this would be impossible, but, I wish that I could be the next Tragically Hip singer. I'm indigenous, from northwestern British Columbia, a Gitxsan, Wolf Tribe, from the House of Gwaashlaam, Gitanyow, BC.
