It's a Good Time To Be an Indie Game Fan

Between all the sales and demos, I feel you...I have soooo many games in my "new" group that I haven't tried yet and more that I have been watching for a while that are newly released or supposed to release in the next couple of months (like WOL2, Realm of Ink, Elsie). Its a great problem to have. I keep thinking that there will be a "dry spell" where I will have time to go back and play all the games I have picked up, but so far.....

I had been waiting for UFO 50 since I learned of it and got Halls of Torment as well and have been having a great time with both. UFO 50 has so many difficult games. Backyard Baseball 97 definitely GOTY

Ravenswatch is a great game with friends (the problem with it will be that enemy will be increased for every person and it is not playable with 4 pepole because of the abundance of enemies )

I feel you for the lack of time, I'm doing this only in my spare time, I recently bought different games that I don't know when I'll play for the next upcoming ones!! I recently started to play Wizard of Legend and even if It's quite challenging to me, I love it. Can't wait to get the second very soon. Realm of Ink is SO good. I'm playing it and is a great satisfaction considering it's in Early access since less than a week. And windblown will be out sometimes in the near future... The formula Is so addicting and works on many different genres that I can love hack 'n slash, deck builders, FPS or metroidvanias at the same time. And it's also so good to share my passion here on KZbin!

When I was a kid, it was hard trying to find the actual good games out of the mass produced not so good ones. But now, you could avoid playing AAA games and have years worth of backlog that keeps growing due to the sheer amount of good indie games coming out.

But the fact that no one cares about these games is true, the only ones that do are KZbinrs who play every indie game. The only game that people who don’t exclusively look for obscure indie games know is Balatro, sadly

@@MochaSlushes No way, indie games are doing really well in 2024. Especially with big studios like Sony having practically no AAA games to show off this year. If nothing else, Satisfactory has been huge, with estimated sales over $120 million. Even smaller games like Peglin are estimated with a respectable $4 million in sales.
