Australia's oldest and proudest football club celebrates 150 years.
This documentary follows the birth of a dream on a paddock that would become the MCG, one of the most famous sporting stadiums in the world.
We look at the Redlegs as they win their first premiership in 1900, the emergence of a power team under Albert Chadwick in the 20s, and then the hat trick of premierships from 1939.
The 40s was a unique time in the club's history. A drawn grand final, Brownlow glory, relived through the eyes of the game's oldest living premiership captain and Brownlow Medallist Dr Donald Cordner.
We celebrate the Legends…Norm Smith and Ron Barassi as they take us on a golden run from 1954 until 1964. Eight grand final's for six premierships.
The lean years in the late sixties and seventies produced mighty players like Wells and Flower before the re-birth in the late eighties.
In 2008 the club's heroes gathered for a 150th birthday party…the heroes tell their stories...Baggott, Dixon, Mann, Ditterich, Flower, Stynes, Schwarz. Viney, Febey, Woewodin, Robertson and others.
And of course we pay tribute to David Neitz as he bows out as the clubs all time greatest goal kicker, goals record holder and the man who led the Demons more than any other player.
