American here. This was one of the greatest championship games ever played in any sport anywhere in the world. 100 years from now people will still be talking about this absolutely epic game. Following the AFL from the states isn't easy because the games are usually in the middle of the night here but I check in every so often to see what's going on. I will be following the finals or as we call them "the playoffs." I just visited Melbourne this past May (2023) and I saw my first AFL game at Marvel Stadium. I also took a tour of the MCG, very fascinating place with so much great history.

Ah yes, the very best of grand finales, I come back to this every once in a while, not because I hate Collingwood, but because I love to watch a good game of competitive footy. To all the Collingwood fans out there, it sucks to lose this way, no matter how much this game hurts you, never let go. The pies deserved the flag in 2023 and I enjoyed watching it, Brisbane deserved it just as much, but one day Brisbane will dominate the competition just like they did all those years ago.
