Oh Genevieve, I cried watching you with that darling Claire, the love between you two and her beautiful face, what a precious daughter. I remember how wonderful that time was when I had my baby girl (she passed away at 35 in 2020) and I would give anything to be young again and do it all over again! Geneieve: a little suggestion, make your own hummingbird food. The ratio for the solution is 4 cups of water to 1 cup of sugar. Make sure the sugar melts and cools. Any left over can be stored in refrigerator for next refill. My hummingbirds love it. Always heard the red solution causes fungus in the beaks. Love your channel!

40:19 Love your farmhouse dishes! I, too, still love farmhouse but leaning toeards more prim. I used to do regular antique runs starting in 1970 and never looked back!! I have an old quilt that my Mother's mother made for me when I was born. It is 75 years old and has no batting!! I never knew her but I did adore my Dad's mom. She lived with our family for all of my young life and was the most beloved and powerful mentor that I have ever known and she laid the foundation of who I am now. That was a great buy on that 10 dollar jadite bowl!! I have a set of those and they are normally twice that. The shakers are new, the lids are a big clue. The lids on the old ones are aluminum, a dull silver. Still very pretty, just not old. They will still look beautiful in the hutch. The sugar bowl is Jane Ray pattern, it's my pattern! There is plates, cups, saucers, cereal bowls, berry bowls, it's a great pattern!

A little tip to save you money to feed the hummingbirds mix four cups of warm water and one cup of white granulated sugar stir until dissolved. Genevieve.. you may know this already. But, I have not heard you say it. There is of course the old Jadite. And the new Jadite everyone is making. Is still expensive. But, if your not sure of which of yours is older or not. Get a small but good 'black light' flashlight. They even have tiny ones you can put on your key chain. So if out scouting around for things. You can use it. Because old Jadite and old fire king and old depression glass glows when you shine a black light on it. It shows up best when it's dark. But, you definitely will be able to tell if it's truely older. They put uranium in the glass back then. Now they know it wasn't good. It will not hurt you handling it, or being around it. But, would not use it to cook or eat off of. You can use the new stuff for that though. Most all the old depression area glass glows. You will find some that was made during that time. You may think is uranium glass. But, once you hold the black light on it You will see it is not. They made dishes in baby blue that glows, red, , blue and a clear light yellow. It's beautiful when it shines! If you see the movie: The Uranium Girls. It is very wrong and sad. What happened to them. So, be prepared to cry and be shocked. It's a true story. Just put on display and enjoy it. :)
