Hey from Dublin. Been studying this bass line for a while as there’s very little information out there on this fab song. Your cover is fantastic and very helpful. Thanks for uploading

@@niallsbasstones9713 I have never taught anyone (except drums when I was younger) and am not technical. But I watched my cover again and would only say that the E string is tuned down to the lowest note. From there its just the right rhythm using the open strings and getting the fills in. The fills aren't too difficult but the timing has to be correct obviously. Might not be as easy on this one though with the E tuned down though. Not sure that helps much but in the end it is always practice, practice, practice.

@@HardDayzKnight did you learn to play by ear or have you studied music? Your style is exceptional and casual...well- done!!

@@supercat380 Hello and thank you! I played drums as a kid as I was always mesmerized by the drummer. Then guitar as a teen and recently decided to take up the bass. I love the bass as it is a blend of rhythm (drums) and melody (guitar). Also the bass is the backbeat of the song and often either carries it or sometimes is the song. Always present and necessary. I had not really been aware of that until I began bass and trained my ear for it. Playing the guitar first is what developed my ear to whatever it is now and I don't (or want to) read music though I know it would be an asset. Appreciate the question.

As I think I don't think I have ever had to sharpen the E string ever. Obviously only lower to hit the deeper notes so would never have to. Wasn't thinking there.
