Your going to want to start going out of your way for the Glyphs on buildings, of all the collections, feathers, treasure, art, statues, codex pages etc those are by far the most important. There is a whole lot more going on here than just Ezio’s story.

@@Yorishiriamori Statues are only for money, so not really. (unless by statues you mean seals, in which case, yeaah, they're very important) Treasures don't do more than give you money and art raises the value of the villa (raises income)

Amazing video, I can see that you are having fun. To answer your questions: You can go back Firenze or other city at anytime once you have visited it. Although I recommend finishing sequence 3 first, so you learn all important mechanics of this game. In this game Desmond can’t leave animus on his own, Rebecca pulls him out whenever Lucy decides it’s time for him to take a break. Looking forward to your next video!

ezio and leonardos relationship sometimes reminds me of dandelions and geralts lol, for a lot of reasons but also bc ezio has to save him and hes just super charismatic. and that "im still here, me! ezio! ezio auditore!" gives me chills everytime the glyphs are fun btw !! not as abundant as other collectibles and theres a little puzzle each time you do them, over time they get harder but also the story behind them is very interesting.

Meg, if you get the chance, check in the Database for People -> Targets. Each one of Ezio's targets has his own little video presentation narrated by Sean once a new target is revealed (before assassinating them). And I nerd out every single time. There is a button for oppening a weapon weel. There you can select things like dagger. I'm pretty sure you can find which button it is in the options since this game does a terrible job telling us what button does what. Those glyphs you see glowing on buildings are another kind of collectibles, you collect them by going to them and using your eagle vision. its a cool collectible and i think you would like it. And careful with those repentine quick time events you need to press, there's a certain hug people will not forgive you for missing lol

There is a lot of attention to detail in Monterigioni. Notice that most buildings, including the villa, have windows boarded up, cracked or split doors, the streets are flooded with puddles, and most of the citizens look poor. The place is a slum. Soon you will learn something that will slowly fix that. Along your play through, visit often. You’ll see huge differences in the whole city’s appearance, as well as an increase in people walking the streets as the population increases. You can check the population of the villa in your stats.

His father hadn't started with Ezio yet. He was training his older brother, so it would be assumed that Giovanni gave them small, hidden trainings to better prepare them, and once they became an adult, they cold adapt to the real training and become assassins.

Loved this episode! One bit of advice: please please please use Eagle Vision more! It’s key for some missions but it’s also just a great tool for scouting the area, seeing guards and targets, and of course the glyphs!

You need to be quicker with the quick time events, you missing little dialogues and interactions when you don't get them in time. Also, there's one quick time event that nobody will forgive you if you miss it, prepare yourself!

If it wasn't obvious the training sequences with Mario take place over the span of roughly two years. So Ezio is at the villa from 1476 to 1478, which is when Ezio decides that they are leaving for Spain.

You didn't have Sword when fighting at the beginning because it was knocked out of your hand during the escape from the execution. Pro tip - To find Statuettes, Glyphs (very important) and Feathers quickly, use Eagle Vision. As for the Modern day stuff, it'll happen when needed as there's no way of leaving the Animus from the Menu. Whenever it happens exhaust the dialogue though. You did watch Vieri's database entry, there's one for Uberto too. Also, as many have mentioned all the decoded Codex pages can be read. But, I think you should read them when you have all the pages. I promise it'll be worth it. Due to your proficiency in fighting you managed to miss some dialogue lines in "Practice Makes Perfect" while training. It's below if you want to read it, it's kinda important. E is for Ezio and M for Mario. E: You said my father was more than a banker? M: No use dancing around it, I suppose. Your father was an Assassin, Ezio. E: I told you before: my father was a paper pusher. M: No. He was born and bred to kill. E: I find this difficult to believe. M: What of the list you carry? Do you think it's merely a catalog of debts? It holds the name of those responsible for your father's murder. A time skip, E: All this talk of Assassins and Templars, it reeks of fantasy. M: Like something from an old parchment covered in arcane writing, perhaps? E: How did you know...? M: You have your father's blade. I figured you'd have the Codex page he was holding as well. When you're fully notorious (red assassin symbol near your health), you need to reduce your noteriety by 100% Tearing down a poster reduces your noteriety by 25%. Bribing a herald reduces your noteriety by 50%. And finally, killing a corrupt official reduces your noteriety by 75%. Hope this helps!

A few years ago I visited Monteriggioni (I'm Italian) and it's very different from the game. The real place is way smaller with 10-15 houses at most. The wall around it though is very well preserved from the late medieval period and being there, like many places in Tuscany (and Italy in general) feels like going back in time. I was also very excited as the game was released maybe the year before and, being a kid, I felt like Ezio and imagined myself running on the roofs of every town I visited.

To answer your question yes you can go back to Florence whenever you want no one will bother you but no one will know who you are. Keep in mind besides the viewpoints you can go to shops and purchase treasure maps from art merchants that’s going to rack up your money real quick and the money is the main thing you’re going to need in that game

I think you should be less focused on the chests or collectibles and just finish the "Tutorial" part of the game till you have unlocked all the main things in the game and then focus on all side activities and collectibles.

If you pick pocket the NPC, they will start fight you. I recommend you go to the rooftop to travel around the city, it will be a lot quicker and you can avoid most conflict except for some bow enemy. It is sometime very tedious seeing Ezio walk slowly on the ground and getting into conflict with the guards.

I think Giovanni was planning on training Ezio but probably wanted to wait a little longer as Ezio was still quite young. Ezio was only 17 at the start of the game and Giovanni probably wanted him to enjoy his adolescence a few years more

People have told you already but I'll reinforce the statement. Chase after those glyphs. Don't drop everything you're doing for them, but just keep them on your mind, you'll want to get them all. Same goes for the Codex Pages. Those are actually a requirement. If you haven't collected all Codex Pages, the game will eventually tell you to go do that. So, Glyphs and Codex Pages! Andiamo, ragazza!!! ;-)

Take your time to explore inbetween missions, you can decline them if you want to do secondary stuff before ending a Sequence anyway, If you do missions non stop you'll have moved on faster than you could imagine ^^ Monteriggoni is broke, that's why there isn't all the shops you could find in Firenze, you almost unlocked all the secondary stuff, and it's pretty easy to accomplish these :) Maria and Federico was aware of Giovanni's secret, I'm pretty sure he prepared a bit Ezio, like swordfight a little You can come back to Present Day so can Desmond talks to the others went you want, they won't have always things to say, but the game will make you come back to him on due time

It seems likely to me that Frederico, the older brother, had already been brought into the fold about the Assassins and Templars, and that Giovanni was about to bring Ezio in as well, as right before he was arrested Giovanni told Ezio that they "had things they needed to discuss." Don't forget that Ezio's only seventeen during these events (apparently, the events of the next video take place in 1477, meaning he likely spent at least a few months in Monteriggioni) Also, look up the database entry on Uberto Alberti. It has the same video introduction that Vieri did.

Tip: You can make a leap of faith when you see pigeons on the edge of a roof, the pigeons point to a safe place to fall. So you can get off a roof safely and quickly.

58:34 I love this game, but that was such a stupid design decision to have such important exposition dialogue be able to get cut off so easily just by following the on-screen instructions "too quickly" and advancing the tutorial. Like 2/3rds of that conversation, including stuff about Giovanni, the Assassins, the Templars, etc. got cut off (not her fault, just the dev's). How would new players know to just circle around the opponent until Mario was finished speaking?

To comment on the Sean's lovingly sarcastic history lesson regarding the Santa Croce and 14th century Vatican interpretations of the bible, the developers said that from their intensive study of the Italian Renaissance, they wanted to show how those days weren't just a burgeoning time of artists, scientists, and humanists, but it was also a time of incredible corruption. Doing some studying of the time period myself, I've come to the conclusion that Separation of Church and State is one of the best things to ever happen to State AND Church. Criticisms of the modern day LDS Church and Scientology doesn't compare to even the most honorable and honest religious establishments in Europe at the time.

4:40 He is punching you because you stole from him, he saw ya do it and you didn't run away. They react to your actions now, and begin causing a fuss that attracts the guards' attention. which is BAD especially since your status is Notorious right now. if ya accidently steal next time turn around and run somewhere out of sight until the crowd calms down than its safe to resume. Pickpocketing is safe to do while blending in a group of people as they can't tell whom stole from them. the AI gets is very smart in these games. its safest to travel by rooftop if ya want to avoid trouble as much as possible. but you are doing great Meg, love your series so far

Hi megs there are some glyphs you can complete... You just come near the sign and Activate Eagle Vision and you can complete it. You know where Paula's brothel is on the top on the wall is a Glyph in Florenze you can complete those Glyphs plus you get a secret video if you complete all of them 😉

You will eventually come back to Florence, don't worry about that, just go with the flow When it comes to present day, you can always get out of the animus to talk to your team (if I remember correctly). You are no longer beeing held as prisoner :)

Hello, personnaly I'am not interrested in the treasure hunting boxes (the one that gives you money). As others said you should watch the glyphs with your eagle visions and read the codex pages. Also I see you have trouble knowing if your objective is on the roof or not. To know for sure look at the symbol on the mini map. The color is slightly different if it is on an another level

You can go back to Florence. You will be able to collect everything and synchronize every viewpoint if you want. Also you don't need to exit the Animus, you can if you want to, but the game will automatically pull you out of it when the time comes.

Calling the youngest brother Prosciutto had me rolling with laughter. The Feathers do have a meaning "IF" you are a masochist. Finding all 100 feathers is a literal pain in the back side, but the reward is very cool when you do. Can't wait to see you do the Tombs later, and watch you want to rage quit. Have fun.

One thing I hated about the first was after each kill you jump out of the animus. To me it ruined the pacing of the past storyline. So I believe this was a main complaint that ubisoft chose to make sure exiting the animus was every now and then.

Find the markings that Shaun was talking about. The first one is on the brothel in Firenze, Paola's house. If you look at the database, the red eye symbol on entries means that there is a marking on it.

You can jump from high places where there are pigeons! They indicate that a haystack is down below for you to perform a leap of faith.

One bit of gameplay advice I'll give is to pay attention to potential parkour opportunities. Just as pigeons signify a leap of faith spot, white linens on boxes or carts signify a point at which you can easily get up into a parkour route. Often times the game will start a mission, or end a cutscene with Ezio directly facing one of these to heavily hint that you should use it. At 24:11 the mini cutscene ends and Ezio is facing some boxes up against the wall and your mission is to escape, the logical first port of call that the game wants you to consider is to run up those and escape on the rooftops. Play it as you like, but those hints are there if you're ever stuck, confused or looking to engage more in the assassin fantasy :)

You can find treasure maps at artists shops and I wanted to let you know that soon the game will give you a feature to renovate marios villa which will let you add different shops and make the place look better in general

Collecting the feathers is hard and annoying, and the reward is kinda weird... But dammit the little cutscene is so worthy!

You’ll want to do the glyphs because they are fun, they are basically puzzles, and when you solve them you get these video clips and when you do them all you get a full video, and when you do it will blow your mind.

I would also highly recommend the glyphs. Although for the last couple of them, the puzzles get absolutely brutal, so looking up a guide is okay when you can no longer solve them yourself.
