The woman that Mel is today will never be attracted to Martell now. She was young in love and wanted to keep her family together. Being that she put up with it for so long he thought she would never leave he tried everything to get her back he just knew he will get a break through and she will give in and come back. Martell have always been abusive I remember in one scene when they had met at a cafe to talk and Mel started to get loud and Martell said be quiet stop being disrespectful then Mel said we almost didn't make it to our first anniversary because of the way you talk to me. This is my opinion and I can be wrong but I think Marlene is afraid of going against her son because if she does he rages, manipulates her, guilt trips her for not raising him growing up and take from her. What is Stormi's mother purpose of being on the show. The show was a power show when it first started off with the couples, they were doing good things such as trying to build up the community and over time they brought in Tiffany/Lou, which I thought she was a trouble maker, getting into other ppl business, but keeping hers quiet. Then Destiny comes along with same attitude, and Wonda!! There's no need for those ppl to be on the show bc they brought nothing but toxicity. After all this time, being blocked, and not supporting Mel during the divorce, Kimmi should not have agreed to her hosting her celebration. I don't care who it is, when the vibe is off, I remove myself and I don't backtrack, but I'm not searching for bags of coins and putting my family life out to the nation. These reality shows have broken Black families and set us back in a great way. Prayerfully the children in each family gets therapy because I can imagine them being casualties of their parents' behaviors and choices.

Martell had no issue with the Children being on the show for all their previous seasons. He was just as involved. Then, he decides to sue her for custody, gets upset at her counter suit, and all of a sudden forbids the kids to be on the show. This is the same guy who exploited them in a children's book for profit. To each is his own. I understand that you see Martell as trying to protect his children. For me, that would have been more believable had he not cheated on his family for over seven years, snuck out during the pandemic to cheat, and, fathered another child outside of his marriage. But hey, we all have our own way of seeing things. As for Martell being a good father, I will never agree. There is more to fatherhood than just being present. Martell is supposed to be a role model, and a moral guide. He also treats their mother like absolute garbage, depending on whatever mood he is in. I would never ever point to this guy as an example of a good father. He is more like a petty, vindictive, narcissistic baby, who has no work ethic, no moral compass, and needs to find God.
