your piano sounds just like mine used to. In other words, it is perfection! I have always loved this song and roll.

Another great Milne roll. A sweet piano. Please have it tuned

I have never heard this tune played as a waltz, it's really nice. I first heard it on a 45 rpm record in the middle 50's as a snappy tune and I have it on a QRS roll played by J Lawerence cook as a really snappy tune, This is different and I like lt

I have this roll for the Ampico-the exact same version. It would sound much better on my Steinway Duo Art than the dinky '38 Ampico Spinet I play it on. Better start watching Ebay for a copy. As for the tuning.....pretend like you're in an English Pub and your fine!! Thanks for posting this!

I didn't post the video so I wouldn't know where it came from. Also, each hole corresponds to a differant key on the piano, it's actually more simple than sheet music if you can figure ou how to read it. But ah well. Try googleing the sheet music.

In 1936 J. Lawrence Cook arranged this piece as a waltz (QRS 6327), and then later as a fox trot in the style of "Fats" Waller, BOTH rolls sharing the same catalog number!

That's funny. Fancy expecting your Roll to sound like this one, but instead get one (same catalog number) that sounds like: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4Wpm3yVoJKXorM. My own copy has this tune as part of a waltz medley (Mastertouch Roll D.3789 played by Edith Murn/Pardey), but I'd certainly also be happy with a 'Fats' version. Cheers.

Is that a push up player piano you have? I can see the keys at the back.

Actually, some pianos are actually tuned like that on purpose, and some just sound like that no matter what. No piano is exactly alike.

This kind of sounds like Capriccietto played by Frank Tappe.

I noticed that the roll slowed down just before the song began Was it supposed to do that?

Love the roll. Love the song. Wasn't going to mention the "tuning" but- since someone else did. Pul-eeze have the piano tuned. Now i gotta get back to singing along with the roll. ps- Where are you located?

Read the roll. It has the notes on it. Just need to learn how to read it. The piano knows how to read it.
