Has anyone else heard someone say those little mechanical dolls in this ride freak them out? Several people have said that to me, and I can't imagine why! First time I went through Small World I thought it was the sweetest thing I ever saw, and cried for joy the whole time!

This made me cry (in a happy way) my father took me to Disney in the early nineties when I was about 3. The only thing single thing I remember about the whole trip was the music and dolls on this ride.

The old version's façade was colourful but now after long refurbishment it mimicked California version which is white.

Yes it was. Boy those were the days. I guess they changed it because they're must of been people complaining of why its not like Disneyland's or something.

Also after the refurbishment, 1964 World Fair's Mexico original theme with maracas plays throughout Mexico stage in South/Latin America room where there are marketplaces with boy choking the children and sombrero dancers as well as the chorus voice of "It's a Small World After All" for the finale is applied for the finale room, substituting the repeated "It's a world of laughter and a world of tears".

The original french soundtrack of small world is accordion and some violin and small guitars i think.....the lyrics are just a bunch of french expressions....While the Paris\John debney soundtrack is the actual french lyrics

That's the speed they used to kick years ago. It's only in recent decades that they slowed them down so much. The slower versions look strange to me.
