This is one of the two oldest vides that I have of WDW. I'll be adding the other one shortly. Back then the size of the equiptment needed for videotaping was ridiculous. Now it fits in the palm of your hand.

Thanks for posting! So sad I never got to see this in person! I really loved the shows of this nature, some (like this one) even more than Country Bears! I really wish they'd kept them all around! America Sings, Kitchen Cabaret, and this one! Rather than the costumed folks at the parks, really, this is how Mickey and the gang SHOULD look when we meet them in person!

The Three Callaberos animatronics from this show now have a new home at the Mexico boat ride in EPCOT! They are in remarkable shape! :)

Panchito was white in Disney World but in Tokyo Disneyland they painted him red and when they came to Gran Fiesta Tour they were all feathered

Thank you so much for posting this! I find it interesting that they didn't use the original soundtrack songs--the difference in the voices is really noticeable. Then again, it was much more difficult to watch these movies and listen to these songs over and over again back when this attraction was made, so maybe they hoped nobody would notice.

And when they moved the attraction to Japan, she moved a lot better than shown here. =) Her movements here were kinda stiff and her arms were in awkward positions at times here since this was the 80's, but I bet when they moved the attraction to Japan, they must of made a new version of her along with re-sculpting her, since she doesn't have long sleeves like shown here and moves a lot more fluidly and more life-like. =)

I sure would love to see them bring this back the same way they brought great moments with Mr. Lincoln back to Disneyland. Like give it a new pre-show with a backstory about the show, and enhance the main show like it just opened.

I was born a little over a year before this show closed in Tokyo, I don't know if everyone who saw this show both on the internet or at WDW in the 70s found out the show just moved to Tokyo Disneyland and sadly ran longer, not saying I'm happy it closed but it was Japanese dubbed and was one of the only Major Animatronic Shows to leave Magic Kingdom. Recording wise, you couldn't have filmed this on 8mm film cause they were like Megaphones only you hand cranked the film depending on the model, and I can understand if this was on a VHS Tape cause those things were MASSIVE up until like the late 80s.

They should bring this attraction to Disneyland in California and back to WDW with more characters like Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Tigger, Eeyore, Chip and Dale, Lady and the Tramp, Pinocchio, Jiminy Cricket, Aurora and Phillip from "Sleeping Beauty", and Peter Pan with his pan flute, and the Darlings.

No. This was filmed on May 15th, 1980. The attraction didn't close until September 14th of that year. I almost wonder if the show would've stuck around in the Magic Kingdom any longer had it not been shipped to Tokyo, like if they had been able to replicate it over there say.
