I love my down comforter in a linen duvet cover on cotton flannel sheets in cold weather and cotton jersey in warmer seasons. Heavenly. And no heat in my bedroom! It got down to 20F a couple of times last winter in the foothills of the Appalachians.

I stayed at a bed and breakfast house in a historical area for about 2 months while I worked out of town. Their rooms were dressed with the most luxurious bedding I had ever seen. Your new treasures are like those rooms.

You make building a bed a whole new thing. I will think about my choices a little bit differently. I don't have the change for most but the colors and textures. We used to have down pillows. Or grandma would say goose down . That is what she had. And save the wing for cleaning corners and such. When I think back the tick pillow covers got to look bad. Recently, I learned something about the Euro Pillows + Shams! I've used them for years & stayed constantly annoyed at the fact that they never seemed to be as comfy as they should once I put the Sham Covers on! The corners of the fabric also seemed to "wilt" after a while! On advice from one of the places I purchased my new ones from, I bought Euro Pillows 2" LARGER than the Covers! Now I've finally achieved the look I want with my new Pink Velvet Covered Euro Pillows! I'm with you when it comes to Duvets & really fluffy Mattress Covers under my bottom sheets! (You, My Dear, have to have that Feather Bed, bc of your German Heritage! Right? 😊)

You took me back to Austria, My Freshman Yr., I got to stay at the sweetest little hotel, in a old pine bed, the mattress was down, with all down bedding. I really love the topper you picked up, it looks like it has a double layer and I will be definitely looking for that one. Mine is a single layer. I cant wait to see how wonderful everything looks when you put it all together 😍. Definitely a Queens bed. You still have the same bed that you refinished in your other home right. Love your luxury bedding! I was wondering if you could show us how to place a comforter/feather filling into a duvet the proper way, I find it very cumbersome trying to stuff it in and it never looks even and smooth.

Colors, textures, comfort….oh my! Love it all! Only thing I must have are silky, cool sheets so I am very picky about those! Adore the embroidered euros and of course the old lace…collector here.
