Black market and bitcoin both require a computer though. A computer that the government know exactly what you do with. Unfortunately it's kind of hook line and sinker here. I wasn’t around for rationing during and following WW11, but what Eva is saying and what I have learned from other sources is this. The digital currency will lead to RATIONING on a global scale and at every level! Like Eva said, meat and flying will all add to our carbon footprint so too will anything that has fossil fuel in its make-up including clothes. It’s a very slippery slope and one which puts the very fabric of our well being in jeopardy. I know that some people will argue that it’ll keep us safe, while maintaining the world we live in and in an ideal world that would be fantastic. Unfortunately we all know that this type of power would unleash the devil and before long we would become a disposable asset. The problem is that too many people will see it as a convenience rather than the impact it will have on them. They can use their smartphones or smart watches to transfer money. Shortly after it will be a credit system with full control by the WEF. Too many people just comply with what they are advised to do. To this day, I see many drivers and people walking (on their own) wearing face nappies. That's how compliant many have gone. The only chance to stop it is to revolt in large numbers with people who are still awake.

Of course this has all happened before. In feudal times many people never saw much actual money. They got paid in part of the harvest etc. Of course, they had to grind the grain into flour. They had used hand quern stones for thousands of years. But in the medieval period it was declared illegal to own your own grindstone. The lords and landowners had them smashed and stern penalties for those that dared possess one. Why? So they would be forced to use the lord's mill - and have to pay of course. Later, with enclosures, small land-holders, or people who used to graze sheep and pigs on common land, lost all their land rights. Swallowed by 'enclosures' the commons and strips they once tended were parcelled up and handed to the bigger farmers and gentry. They were dispossessed Many of them ended up drifting into towns to be exploited in mills and foundries. Paid a pittance and worked to death. But that wasn't enough! They were then often paid in TOKENS to be used in the mill owner's shop. And pay prices that were inflated. It is all part of the same story....

Yes - we've been on this treadmill before, but because it seems proper History is missing from today's curriculum the masses don't realise what a long & hard-fought path has been trodden to gain the little independence we have. We already have controls over our money in the States. I wanted to put a down payment on a house so I went to the bank to get a cashier's check. The bank said I'd have to sit for an interview and fill out forms detailing what I wanted the money for, and then wait ten days (this waiting period caused me to lose my contract on the house). I'm in Africa at the moment and no way would a digital currency work here. Half the time there is no electricity and networks are down. If you don't have a physical currency you would not be able to do anything here. Most countries in the world don't have the infrastructure to pull this off. I would say only north America, western Europe and a few east asian countries could maybe pull this off. In more than 160 countries a working digital currency is still a pipe dream.
