Eva you are right. My mother was from Arnhem and she agreed that after the loss of the East Indies she feared for the future and they linked with the German Mark. Yet the Dutch are the hardest free working nation on Earth. They did not realise this after recovering from the floods in 1953. They mobilized and designed their brilliant drainage system and built the Afluitsdijke. They could certainly be free of the EU and prosper BIG TIME. I want to love her but I am afraid that she doesn't get it. First of all, producing cheap pork meat indoor on concrete blocks in order to be able to export it in China has never been a farming tradition in the Netherlands or anywhere really. This is a post-war model, nothing "traditional" in it. Defending this agro-industry is just not smart, especially if you look at the big picture and understand that we are sending for free the excedents of food that this industry generates as "development aid" in various african countries who are not self-sufficient. These countries are then, with our assistance, overproducing population, that is eventually submerging us in Europe. Traditional farming is extensive, and aim at feeding your own people, your own demographic growth, with good quality products. The dutch were at some point in control of a large swath of lands on the other side of the world. They were in control of what is called today Taiwan. They didn't do that by exporting cheap pork meat there, didn't they ?

One important piece of contextual information that non-Dutch viewers probably won't know: In the Netherlands, when you purchase a property (eg. a house or flat), you can NOT buy the land it sits upon along with the building. The land the building is built on remains public property, so usually you can only lease the land (usually each lease runs for 99 years, and your grandchildren must obtain a new one once it runs out). I'm not sure if there's an exemption for farmland. Maybe a Dutch viewer can explain the context in more detail, and especially what benefits the government would gain if farmland is repurposed for housing.

I can see why this kind of legislation is tempting for multinational money to grab, almost a monopoly to print money if they get their hands on this land. (In our city property tax is similar, some plots under houses are rental and city can then almost at whim change that rate... I looked carefully to not have that problem... and it is convenient tax revenue generator for highly dense cities like singapore, NYC and so on).

fellow dutchman here, its not only for some more housing, its also for a project realisation called "TRI-STATE-CITY" in where most of the country would be converted to a mega 'smart' city, with a part of Germany, an England as well, supposedly to compete with large cities as Shanghai and sorts...but for its occupants would mean more like a distopian open air prison. not something one wants to live in. Insightful yes, but not all she said is actually true. Land ownership is NOT an important point which Eva focusses on as being pivotal. I do agree with her on the nitrogen deposition "crysis" being insane. The theoretical deposition is based on calculative mathmatical algorithm (hence theoretical). The limits in other nations are like 200-300 grams per annum per km2 (Germany e.i.) In the Netherlands this is based on that dumb algorithm and the lowest amount that did not break the algorithm... which is 0,07 grams.. which is literally unmeasurable and hence this simply REEKS like manipulation of reality. Rather than solving a problem. And this mixed with a HUUUGE number of Natura2000 designated areas for such a small country that they can't undesignate. This problem stems back to the 1990-íes where getting on the list of Natura-2000 designated area's was very beneficial for the landowners as there were big subsidies to be obtained... So easy EU money got us in trouble... in the first place. And thus a more realistic number of grams per km2 needs to be accepted. The fact why this isn't acceptable for Brussels lies purely in the idea behind Natura2000. Natura2000 areas were only meant to be instated if they were VITAL for the survival of certain flora and fauna species. There is not a single Natura2000 area in the Netherlands where if it would vanish the plants or animals would go extinct. So... what should be done is let plants that absorb Nitrogen and can be harvested easily grow near (or even IN) these areas. so they would deplete the nature and then things would be like they were 30 years ago. If they would invest in research on how to do that it WOULD make sense instead of the illogical approach of nothing goes. I'm by no means an subject matter expert, but the number of crysis that are now piling up due to dumb politics of the last 20 years is really insane. We cannot afford NOT to change the political attitude.

CO2 does not cause temperature to rise, but CO2 rises as temperature increases. Greenhouses pump CO2 into their facilities to increase plant growth and health. The climate crisis is a big lie and the bizarre weather events are a result of manmade weather warfare carried out by corrupt governments against their own citizens -- by means of chem spraying, h a a r p and related systems, and direct energy weapons. The weather warfare is used to justify their draconian and insane climate crisis policies -- including the emerging 15 minute prison cities. There is no need to sequester nitrogen or CO2 it is all a big lie.

I don't know if we have a nitrogen crisis, but we sure do have a sovereignty crisis. Domestic laws are decided by foreign governments and we can't go against them. And it's severely hurting us. That has to stop. The EU either needs reform or we leave. I don't want to leave the EU, but if things don't change I feel we don't have any other choice.

The problem is not the EU. The problem appears to be The Hague trying to be flatter the EU possibly because they try to secure a position after their Dutch government duties. Other EU-countries stand-up against the EU whenever some regulation is not beneficial to them. Dutch politicians take any regulation from Europe as a hard law that must be accepted and followed at any price. What is the EU going to do if the Netherlands does not 100% follow their regulations? They won't kick us out and they will also not invade us. Worst case they will cut some subsidies which can be easily compensated by not paying full EU-tax.

Eva is great. I'm Canadian and we do get snippets of her in Canada. Rebel news had a short interview with her at the political rally for the farmers. Mostly independent media in the US as well have had her on. If only everyone could think logically and intelligently. Unfortunately so many people here in Canada are so stressed by everything being done to them by our government. It's so sad because your typical Canadian is far too busy trying to survive not seeing what end game is. Eva is right about what the end game is for globalist elites. They want a slave race. What an articulate person she is. I wish our politicians had a fraction of her courage and skill. I'm surprised but glad the farmers have shown political power. What a shame our own can be regularly ignored by our government seeking to keep city-dwellers happy. As for the Netherlands; fortune has given them little land, but their enterprise has allowed them to prosper, while they are indeed an early country to develop freedom. They are very skilful farmers and horticulturalists, as are the Israelis.

I have been praying for the farmers in the Netherlands. I grew up in my first childhood years, in a small farm in Switzerland. Nowadays at the age of 67 I see more and more concrete, and less and less farming land. Switzerland used to be self reliant and capable to produce our own food, but not anymore. May God bless the reasonable and still God fearing people. (Growing food and farming has still to do with God and depends on his blessings)
