Same reason people like ghost. People can have different opinions. Some people could like ryuki but hate build and some could hate ryuki but like build.

Dude, they were alternate REALITIES, of course all actors are going to look different. Though you can be rightfully mad with Den-O's actor change as the main Rider is suppose to be a time singularity. Plus, each world had the basis of the Rider but changed what it was going to do in the first place, Like, the battles in Ryuki AR World were made for winning and lossing Lawsuits instead of the ultimate wish.
