Love those games. There's been some rumors that they *might* come back to Xbox Gamepass as well since Activsion/Blizzard has been acquired but nothing is confirmed so far and TF is still licensed by Hasbro I think. I am just glad I still have my PS3 copies of those games (remember, we do not mention whatever came after FoC).

TF:P was great. I loove how they portrayed Soundwave. When the entire cast of Decepticons are all idiots one way or another, a professional like Soundwave shined through like a lighthouse in a storm. They legit had to use plot armour to solve his OP-ness in the end.

As a lifelong fan that also loves Cybertron (2005), I'm caught between TF Animated and TF Prime, because both are extremely great for different reasons. Quite literally Apples and Oranges Animated was a Transformers show that treated them like Superheroes, with a comic book like artstyle, action-oriented storytelling with good character and comedy that worked, and also Bulkhead. That, and you could really tell that there was fan love put into it. TF Prime was essentially "Lil' Jimmy's first War Drama": showing the autobots as the last team fighting the long, arduous fight against an all-powerful Decepticon conquering force and their megalomeniacal dictator. It hit on hard themes, like loss, fate, sacrifices, failure, identity and sense of self, etc. It was stupid good. So much so, that I WISH a lot of the toy-only characters appeared in the show and it had 5 seasons. But there are things I like about this movie and the others; igniring how I grew up with them. Fir example, I love how the Decepticons feel like this ancient malevolent force, this organized army of living disasters seeking to destriy everything. It may be how I grew to love Lovecraft.

My first series was Transformers Armada, so imagine my surprise as a kid when I figured out that Starscream wasn't an honorable anti-villain who was abused by Megatron and ended up befriending humans, and was by and large a sniveling, treacherous, sycophantic goober with only brief moments of success.

Transformers Armada was peak for me. Was my introduction to Transformers and that toyline was a significant part of my childhood. Every birthday had to have a new Transformer after that show. Makes me wish I still had them all, but I gave them to charity so I can't complain to much. Maybe one day I'll start seriously collecting them. When I have some money.

In fact, Shia wasn't kept around for the 4th movie was because he was the leading figurehead in the "He will not divide us" protest (an anti-Trump campaign per se), and shown to be a loose canon, similar like ones at 11:44 As for Megan Fox, I remember PointlessHub mentioned in another video that she felt uncomfortable around Bay, considering how he films Transformers as if he was filming a porno every time Megan was on screen. Bay later then went on records and blame Megan for being "hard to work with" and had to be "let go".

@@jcombos I *REALLY* like Animated but Prime still clears. I think I’d concede it’s characterisation is better and the personalities are more fleshed out but the story never got as good as Prime did for me. Optimus isn’t just stoic in Prime, his other personality traits shine through on a lot of occasions, I don’t think that’s a fair characterisation. I also wouldn’t directly compare them as the two Optimuses are two very different characters. Animated was following a plucky, brash young captain eager and desperate to prove himself but still possessed of a noble heart(spark?) who would do the right thing. Prime was an experienced war leader who was burdened by those he had lost over a very long conflict but still driven by the belief that resisting Megatron and his ideology was his duty on behalf of all individuals. They were two different archetypes serving two different roles, so I wouldn’t say one was better than the other, though I certainly prefer the more traditional depiction of Optimus as someone who had already been leading a war.
