When we left S.A. we went to the Netherlands and lived there 22 years and after not having rid a bike for years it was a very interesting time to learn to do shopping and riding a bike everyday and lifting your kids to school by bike. I loved it. Now live in the UK and though I ride my bike (though not as much )as they do not have cycle tracks like they do in the Netherlands miss it. Those saddle bags are a God send when you need to shop. Sorry you guys are having such a difficult time and I do hope that the new year will be a happy, blessed, healthy and prosperous new year for 2024. Look forward to your journey in the new year. Can’t you get a water filter and install in the kitchen and bath tap area that uses ultraviolet light to kill the bacteria! I see a lot of off grid people doing that. You can even order them online!!!!!!

You are such a man, Ken 😅 GINA is your biggest blessing, she wanted to punch you so hard, and I had her back 😂. I absolutely adored this episode, and following you around those pretty streets and villages (that bike wash was so random!!!) , you are right, we all need to focus on the positive more and change our respective of things. This year has been a shit year for us, and xmas and new year were sad, losing our doggie so traumatically and then both of my boyfriend's parents dying... we didn't feel like celebrating at all and I cried a lot missing stuff, but watching your video today made me focus and think positively. So thank you so much, you two are truly an inspiration for us. And Gina is the most adorable thing when she is slightly sulking 😊. I just remembered I forgot to renew my subscription I think it was December!! I'll do it soon. Have a great year guys, and thanks for brightening our days and keeping it real.

If I had seen this video earlier it may have helped me to coped with the many series of events that I have been experiencing lately. First my fairy newly renovated kitchen fell apart; the sink fell in, then the faucet water pressure dropped to about 10%. Soon after solving one problem then the sink backed up. Next, my printer started to leak a full supply of ink toner. Followed by my daughter’s air conditioner broke as well as the bathroom shower broke. ( I am my daughter’s landlady.; her problem is my problem) Last but not least I dropped my cell phone in water; also lost a couple of gold earrings, one in the bathroom sink. Then it took a contractor four tries within six weeks to replace and refitted my front door properly. One might find my list to be more like fiction than reality but I can tell you that I only mentioned the minor things that happened within the past two months and not the big things that are ongoing. 😱 Like you Ken, I also reminded myself to count my blessings, for I have many blessings to be thankful for.

Yeah, our December has been tricky. Oven electronics went wack, dishwasher died, new dishwasher has leak, our garage door spring cracked in half with car inside. Spring is special size so one-day service could not fix until first week inJanuary and between three of us, we could not force the garage door open, car is trapped 😂. Anyway, just thankful we can take care of all of this and we are safe, happy, and healthy to welcome 2024.

The "bike wash" looks like it will be one of the new battery swap stations for electric cars (rather than plugging the car in and waiting for ages while it recharges, you drive into the bay and battery is removed and replaced in a few minutes).
