It's all In Your Head: How Do We Really Form Opinions? - Professor Daniel Kahneman

Different scientific fields interconnect to give us a greater understanding of the process by which we perceive the world around us and form an opinion about it. What does modern research teach us about this process and what is yet to be discovered? Do we really control how we form opinions or are our senses tricking us? To what extent are we influenced by outside forces that seek to manipulate our senses into seeing the world the way they want us to? Does this greater understanding increase the temptation to interfere with the processes of human perception in order to influence human behavior?

Kahneman makes sense out of so many thoughts it's a pleasure to listen to him. If only our world could be governed by such simple genius.

Mind blowing stuff! If we combine this with evidence based thinking and practice and the argument analysis I developed, we can get a very good decision making system for complex decisions!

Stereotypes and beliefs can only be confronted by Logical arguments. If belief was put in there by people, then it can be unlearned through education and logical arguments.

Did any get (or were we even supposed to get) what it was that the upper-class Englishman was actually saying? "I have launched a twos (tooze) all down my back." I'd have trouble with that no matter who said it.

You don't like him, so there's your bias. Whether you agree or not, what he says is fascinating to think about. I do tend to think he has the data to back up what he's saying. It's unsettling for sure.
