I think Samsung also forgot the fact that the physical vessel is so useful to turn off alarms, reject calls and stop timers. I guess you can do it too on the touching vessel but it's definitely not the same

I bought a bezel with tachymeter but to use it like time tracker or elapse time , when turn the bezel THE WATCH need to stay in watch position with pointers running on the screen, do 🫵🏼 you know how to DISABLE bezel function to use only the rotation without enter the menu of the watch? Thx

Let's also mention the fact that with the bezel you could completely change the style of it as many times you wanted by adding a ringke bezel of any color . I would change it everytime I wanted a new look along with the straps . This is a big dissapoitment and they will loose lots of sales just because of that bezel .

@@arnox4554 ohh no , you do not have to remove the bezel to change the style of the watch 4 classic . The ringeke bezels which you could buy on Amazon would be removable and would just stick on top of the original bezel with minimal bulk , therefore changing the style of it and giving it any look you want.

I totally agree with everything you said about the classic watch! Once I saw there was no rotating bezel I knew I would not be getting the watch 5. I wear my galaxy watch 4 in the house and when I work out and sleep, but when I'm out and about its always my watch 4 classic on my wrist. The look and bezel are just unmatched! I can't believe Samsung didn't bring it back 😡 maybe they'll bring it back with the watch 6, but if not I'll be wearing my watch 4 classic until it dies or I die, whichever comes first lol

i agree the bezel makes it so unique i had the gw4 classic LTE version classic (tmobile) but had to return it because of the overheating once bluetooth connection was lost. one question do you have the bluetooth or LTE version. im assuming no overheating on the bluetooth only version.

Sticking with my classic 4. Kind of hope the sales this year lack and they bring back the bezel next year. It's my favorite part of the watch to he honest. Well second. This watch can take a lot of accidental abuse without showing any wear.

I hate it! I LOVE my GW3 and it's rotating bezel. I prefer the physical click you get when selecting something vs a swipe. It's just better. Also, I don't like that they're going lighter with the 5. I like a little weight to my watch -- it feels premium. I guess they're trying to make it more futuristic or whatever but, to me, the GW5 looks like something your grandparent would have to wear in their assisted living community.

Great video as always, CJ! I 100% agree with you on the uniqueness of the Classic model and how it made Samsung stand out. I currently have both the Galaxy Watch 4/4 Classic in 44/46. However, I ordered the Watch 5 Pro, which might replace my Watch 4. The 4 Classic is not going anywhere! Samsung will continue to sell the 4 Classic, but I believe the lack of sales due to the removal of the bezel will encourage them to bring it back on the GW6. Keep up the great work, and be blessed!

I have the Samsung Gear that looked like a "Fitness Watch". I Immediately purchased the Galaxy Watch 46mm and have been using it ever since. I was waiting on the Watch 5 but now look like I'll have to go to the Watch 6 whenever that comes out. I love my Rotating Bezel. It looks funky w/out it.

Never owed a Classic only owned a Watch 4 44mm so I don't know what it's like to have the physical rotating bezel but I do feel bad for the people that did have it and miss it and want it back. I also try to make my watch look classy with nice watch faces and nice bands and I have gotten a lot of compliments on my watch and that's with me rocking a leather watch band and Samsung stock Tomcat watch face. My best suggestion for people who want to upgrade and still want that classy look is to go with the Watch 5 44mm. It won't have the physical rotating bezel but it can still get and look classy.

I just picked up the Galaxy 4 classic 42mm for only $179 on Amazon. It’s packed full of features. Definitely worth the money. The battery could be better but with medium use it works out fine. Have the iPhone 12 so upgraded to the S22 ultra just to use the watch. Great video man. Sucks they got rid of the T-bezels.

I recently got your same Amazon deal at $179 and for my first few days I was definitely sending it back due to my battery complaints. Now we a bunch of settings adjustments I am getting through the day with nightly charging at 10pm to 5am. Mine is the 42mm and with tiny wrists I really like the shape at style but overall I'm disappointed about not being able to run %90 of the smartwatch features in the background. Essentially I have a watch I'll wear every day and use occasionally to Spotify while I'm out in the surf with my Shokz bone conducting buds. On those days unfortunately I'll be racing home for the charger. What are some of your settings to increase battery life? Does this watch "learn" over time and get better battery performance? I have a dark watch face with sleep at 15 seconds. Thank you

FR with the processor being the same, the real upgrades from the 4 Classic to the 5Pro were the faster charging, battery life, and a better strap. And if none of those are worth sacrificing the bezel, then yeah, the 4 Classic is the way to go.

Also with the bezel it allowed you to switch screens on your watch without touching your screen with fingers . What if you are eating something that dirty your fingers , or outside doing yard work (dirt, etc ) with the back of your hand you could have simply rotated that bezel or even with your knuckles lol without getting that screen dirty. The bezel has many advantages.

I'm gonna guess and say that they're trying to do cycles of styles- the original Galaxy Watch was traditional, the (Active) 2 was sporty and minimalistic, the 3 was traditional again and now they went with both designs. My guess is they're going minimalistic this year, next year will be a traditional one again, then another minimalistic and then they'll do another 2 for 1 year.

It should be able to get you through a work day but it also depends on other factors as well: screen brightness, amount of notifications and apps used etc. but generally you should be able to get through a workday with this watch. Test it out and see and report back. If it doesn’t satisfy you can always return it

I will be hanging onto my 4 classic till it dies! I hate, hate, hate, that they took the rotating bezel away and that the pro only comes in one size! Us girls do not want a watch bigger than our wrist, but we also want the pro. Bad decision. I know its due to the batt size, but there is always a work around like they did with the classic 4! I had an Active 2 LTE and wanted to wait another year or so for the GW5 Pro to get cheaper. But the touch screen of my Active 2 doesn't work properly anymore. It was also sometimes scrolling through the menu without doing anything. Last week I found a brand new GW4 Classic 46mm LTE bute without wrist band for only 107€ on ebay. Couldn't resist at this price. Got a sport wrist band pack of 4 for 12 €, so I paid 119 € for a brand new GW4 Classic LTE 46mm. I'm very happy with it, the rotating bezel is cool. Only thing I'm missing is the cool photo puzzle game from the Active 2. Battery life isn't worse than on the Active 2, with normal usage as a watch I get 2-3 days.

I absolutely loved my Samsung watches. I just can't do 1 or even 2 Day battery life anymore. I got the pixel 6a and pixel buds, and even though about the pixel watch. I switched 2 Garmin watches and absolutely love them. I know for allot of people that really didn't work because they don't like the style. They have been making more traditional smart watch style watches. I get 12 days on the one I wear now. But even the ones that are more like traditional smart watches get 5 to 7 days. Would love 2 hear any options.

Liked your commentary. I have owned a Galaxy 2 and 3 frontier. I liked them. But I decided to skip the G4 and went directly to the G5 (not pro) Why not Pro? Because it looks too thick on my wrist. Yeah, bigger battery, but it shows and ruins the look. I will also say that the bezel is nice, but not a killer (unless all you want is the bezel look) I do like my G5. I used it for the first time with cycling, and when I was done, it also showed me split times for each mile PLUS a Google map of the trip. Nice! Anyway, I am wondering what you use your Google assistant for? What do you do with it and what can I do? Does it use more battery power to use it? I uninstalled it on my watch, but might put it back depending on what I could do with it. Comments?

I am right there with you and I didn't even know, before your video, that Samsung was moving away from their OS and the classic Galaxy 3 physical bezel spinner. Like you said....come on!!! 😑 I bought a Gen 4 accidentally getting the smaller one while at Costco. The thing over heats, needs firmware out the ass and has NEEDED to factory reset itself 3 times in 85 days. 90 day warranty at Costco? Oh yeah, this thing is going back tomorrow. My original 3rd gen got the swollen battery after however many years. I tried to replace it myself but accidentally messed up the flat cable that comes up to the display. It ends up working sometimes and not others. I'll still see if I can fix that one, but I'm like you going forward, we'll see. Thanks for all the info! Rock on.

Yo playa big time follower from the UK, love your videos and I am an owner of the GW3 and also love that watch but with support ending next year I was always going to upgrade to the GW5 this year, you guys are so lucky out there with your Samsung discounts we are only getting £100 trade-in discounts, so if I don't trade in now the watch will probably be worth nothing next year, hopefully, the GW5 pro will be awsome

Nope…that’s the surprise already. No more mechanical rotating bezel. They replaced it with a fence bezel.

just bought my galaxy watch 4 classic a month earlier and I am lovin it but was sad about the new watch releasing as i thought i lost my money if i would have waited for one month . But after watching this i think galaxy watch 4 classic is better in design that 5 pro

Probably better design but overall performance worse compared to the 5 pro obviously. I had the classic but I don't mind the 5 pro design and if they release a classic I may opt towards that later maybe

I did a lot of homework on the watches, and I bought the Watch 4 Classic 46mm. I like the functional bezel, the 5 ATM waterproof (for Swimming/SCUBA Diving/Kayaking/Hang Gliding/Flying), the battery life, and the style & I don't know much more about the Watch 5, off the top of my head. I think the smaller Watch 5 had the same or less battery life??? Anyhow, any really nice, classy watch has a working bezel. The Watch 5 not having a working bezel tells me they are going cheap on their watches. I wanted a great heart, sleep and fitness monitor. As for the weight of the Watch 4 LTE 46mm Chrome, at 52g, I find it a little heavy for a watch, BUT I haven't worn a watch for years, AND I am adjusting fast in just a couple of days. My wrist is about 7.5 to 7.75", and although it has a beautiful, large face, it is slim and doesn't feel clunky at all. The battery life and larger size, as well as the working bezel, are about as small as I'd like a touch screen to be, and the bezel and gestures to operate are awesome thus far (I've only had it for a few days, but love it thus far!) I started with a lotta apps running to start with, and the first few days, I was killing my battery quickly. I tried out lotsa apps, and now am trying it tonight after pairing down my apps to what I will actually use day-to-day, yet can still access my compass for hiking, diving, kayaking, flying, etc., for instance, when I need it. I am still working my way through the menus, to see what all this watch can do, and find it is about like buying a new tablet or computer. It clearly takes a while to get through the apps, decide what I will actually use regularly. I am watching your next video comparing watches, and am happy I stuck with the Watch 4 Classic. The Watch 5 missing the bezel seems like a big downgrade. I am used to having round instruments having a bezel. It is strange not to use it as a marker, yet getting used to the menus using it is awesome! I would like it to be usable as a marker for an analog face, like a timer, for the compass as a direction marker to get back to where I came from, to mark search direction, etc., but it's not hard to get used to. The ability to use the watch while in or near salt water, bathing and while in a pool is important to me. I've never liked a watch that can't stand up to being underwater, that can stand up to being bumped, etc. is important to me. I look for a water rating & military rating before I even look at specs, especially on expensive electronics. If a watch can't take water or a little bumping around, I'm not interested. Battery life is next. I don't want a watch I'll have to charge every few hours! I am reasonable as to what my expectations are, but I don't want to deal with mid-day charging. I love the ability to use what I need, be able to shut off what I don't need 24/7, yet being able to access those things and turn them on when I want those things. The heart monitor and O² monitors and tracking on my phone are very important to me, as is optimizing health, so the Apple Watches and Samsung's Watch 4 Classic and Watch 5 Pro were my top 3 choices. I already use a Samsung Galaxy S21 I have had for quite a while, so that took out the Apple watches, and my choices were then Samsung's Watch 4s and Watch 5s. I wanted a higher mAh battery, so the Watch 4 Classic 46mm and Watch 5 Pro 45mm were my top choices. The bezel on the Watch 4 was a big selling point, as was the price of the Watch 4 Classic 46mm. The Watch 4 Classic 46mm LTWLE went on sale at iCuracao.com for about half the price of the Watch 5 Pro 45mm LTE, so I bought it. I'm glad I bought the model I did, as not having a bezel would've been something that I certainly would've missed, and had I bought the Watch 5 Pro, I would've certainly been disappointed. Perhaps Samsung will bring the bezel back for Watch 6? I certainly hope so, at least in some models with the higher mAh batteries! I hope they will make it useful as a marker for direction, timing, etc. for their analog faces, AND have it available to use for the menus as well, as I like that functionability as well! QUESTIONS!?! 1) Does the Samsung Classic 4 46mm LTE have a depth gauge for SCUBA and free diving? and/or a dive computer? 2) Does the same watch have an altimeter for flying? If so, is it real-time? 3) When Samsung says the Watch 4 Classic 46mm LTE is depth rated to 5ATMs, do they mean 4 ATAs (5 Atmospheres Absolute or 132 feet deep in sea water at sea level) OR do they mean 5ATMs (6 ATAs or 198 feet deep in sea water from sea level)? I've searched for this information, yet haven't been able to find an answer. 4) If it can detect depth and/or altitude, how is this measured by the watch? If these watches don't have this ability, it would be a couple of great additions to the Samsung Watch 6 Pro LTE, along with bringing back the bezel, and making it a marker and change it to use to scroll through menus. 6) Are the stainless steel bands, you have, actually true stainless steel? I live near and when out and about, I do enjoy the ocean, so a watch and band that are OK in salt water are a necessity. 7) Do you recommend a watch cover, as well as a new band? 8) Can you show how to remove links from the stainless steel band for those of us with smaller wrists? 9) What type of clasp does the stainless band have? 10) Are there any Titanium bands you can recommend for the Watch 4 Classic 46mm LTE? I still need to dial it in for my uses, battery life, etc., and still haven't accessed the developer's menu (& not sure I need to or want to???) Great information! I'm very happy that I bought the Watch 4 Classic 46mm LTE. I kinda bought it not knowing everything about the Watch 5, as it was on sale for a good price. I've been looking for about a year or more, so I needed to simply break down and buy one, as I really wanted a good heart monitor, PO², BP, compass, watch, phone, etc. I think I made the best choice. @12:56, talking about music copyright strikes, what I think KZbin should come up with is a way for you the content creator to purchase a written permission letter to use their copyrighted song, or even a portion of it, in your videos. I think that could be huge if KZbin could come up with something that would make copyright owners happy and the content creators even happier, too! It would also make for a more entertaining experience for us viewers, aswell!

Yesterday I got an email from Samsung about discounts on their galaxy watches. So I looked around and saw that the galaxy watch 5 44mm was the same as the 4 classic 46mm, 289€ for both LTE versions (I live in Spain for context on prices). I wasn't sure which to get, so I went to the a mall to try them out in person. I put on the watch 5 and it was fine but nothing crazy. Then I put on the classic and wow I really liked the bigger size, but most importantly it's the rotating bezel that made me go for it. I really didn't see a difference in terms of performance between them, and the battery might be a bit better on the new one but I was told that not by that much. The design I think is much better looking on the old one, I got the silver one and it just looks less "smartwatchy". When I got home I put it on and a family member asked if had gotten a new watch, I passed it to them and at first he thought it was an analog one, which was a relief as I like the "classic" look it has. I really don't understand why Samsung dropped this version, offering a slightly more expensive device with a very distinctive bezel and a more attractive device makes sense, idk, just glad i got one while they lasted

I just ordered the Pro... It has a rotating touch bezel it's not mechanical... I prefer the minimal bezel. The watch faces will be modified so the dark out circle won't be seen

CJ. I'm glad to see you snap on this one. They got me wondering WTF out here. I'm fine that they ditch the Note name because they kept the Note features. But this can NOT be tolerated.The rotating bezel is the illist feature on any smart watch. Somebody on that stuff out there in their marketing research department if they don't know that. Major mistake on this move by Samsung imo.They have to bring back the classic.
