AOD is a waste of battery in my opinion because when you turn your wrist it turns the screen on so its not like it effects your ability to see the screen when needed. but ive gotten 2 days with AOD on before but just didnt sleep in it.

I love my Watch 6 Classic. As much as I'd love to get the newest tech with the upgrades, I really can't get behind this design. I like the completely round design and honestly think the new Ultra is kind of ugly. They took away the rotating bezel too. I think I'm going to pass on this year's model. People keep saying that the Galaxy Watch Ultra is suitable for diving but it isn't. Nowhere in Samsungs advertising have they said it can be used for diving. It has a 100m water resistance rating but this is a standard rating for watches and simply means that it can withstand 100m of water pressure momentarily. E.g. if you jump into the water or get smashed by a big wave, the water pressure can momentarily spike up to very high pressures and the watch can handle this but it CAN NOT handle the constant crushing pressure of diving, unlike the Apple Watch Ultra. If you don't believe me then search for yourself. A direct quite from Samsung "It is not suitable for high-pressure water activities and diving. It may be used for shallow-water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean". The Apple Watch Ultra also has a depth sensor which shows how deep below the surface you are, accurate to 0.1m so this can be used even when snorkelling or just swimming in general and it also has a water temperature sensor which is awesome if you want to know how hot/cold the water is at the beach, pool, spa etc.

Great content. As for the 700 dollar price, I always go through my career and pay monthly. It's much easier to handle. If you like high-end watches, the 7 ultra does look like the Panerai luminor chronograph. But you didn't mention the orange crown on the 7 ultra. That could be an action button or a bezel.

The classic is really classic and suits formal occasions, unlike the ultra, which is more casual, unfortunately 😕 We have to see it on real life to decide as Apple's one tends to look like a health or accessory device rather than a true smart watch.

I just hope the antenna in the 7 pro is better than the one in the 6 classic. I have the LTE 6 classic, and I always leave my phone at home. The watch continually disconnects from my phone. So when I get back home, I see all the missed calls and messages. Verizon and Samsung claimed the antennas in the watches aren't as powerful as the phones, so they will forever disconnect. Hopefully the 7 won't have that same issue.

I haven't figured out if I'm digging the Ultra or not. Feel like there is a lot to be desired including a physical rotating bezel. I've collected Samsung watches since the first Gear watch, missing out a few after the Gear 2 and starting again with the S3's though haven't collected all of them since, I still have a collection... So today I spoke to a tmobile tech support rep. They said that my watch (Galaxy 6 Classic 47mm) is no longer functional with standalone service. They said the only way is to pair it to the phone via Bluetooth. When I first got the watch a couple of months ago, it was working stand alone paired to my phone line number. Then all of a sudden it stopped working stand alone. Weird. I even did a factory reset to the watch, but that didn't fix the problem. My phone is an Android Samsung Galaxy s10 plus. Why is nobody on KZbin talking about this ???

I'm keeping my 6 Classic, and just banged the Ultra; which the speaker is loud, use google assistant and google, bike ride GPS accurate. The Ultra is way more versatile than Apple with Wear OS. Titanium is denser than aluminum and can be anodized like aluminum but it's lighter if you build it to have the same strength with thinner pieces of metal. If you had two pieces of metal say 1^3 cm just for example, the titanium would be significantly heavier, closer to stainless steel.

After careful consideration and several reviews of the Galaxy Watch Ultra, I decided to take the plunge and preorder it with a trade-in of my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. Yes, I'm well aware I'm giving up the rotating bezel. However, I once owned the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and over time, the rotating bezel on that one began to get sticky and harder to use. I'm intending to keep my iPhone 13 Pro on the Apple side and my Samsung Galaxy S24+ on the Android side, both for the long term. The same will apply to their respective watches: The Apple Watch 9 and my preordered Galaxy Watch Ultra. The latter being without the rotating bezel is hopefully for the best for me long term, since it's a moving component that would potentially start sticking later on.

You get a day's use out of the Watch 6 Classic if constantly using it, screen on, and fitness trackers running using ECG and lift to wake. If you shut off AOD (I don't think many use this battery drainer on devices these days anyway), then you will get a full 24 hours of use from it. No problem. I do it every day! It will need charging at night, but it takes about an hour or so, not much more if it's over (maybe by 10 minutes), and it's fully charged on the fast charger. It's an amazing battery in the Watch 6 Classic! I've never understood how people say it has poor battery life. They surely must be running everything at once, screen brightness all the way up and not on adaptive mode, and using full-bright watch faces! I have a dark face on my Watch 6 Classic, but it has all the fitness features on it, and it makes a massive improvement on battery life! I'm left with 26% at bedtime (around midnight) every night, so to me, this is not bad for the watch running constantly! It's no Garmin, but then they don't run anything near the normal smartwatches, not even the new Fenix 8!

I currently own a Watch 6 Classic, and I do love the classy look and rotating bezel. What I like less is the laggy performance and terrible battery life, especially when using it standalone on LTE. I have upgraded to the Watch Ultra in the hope that I can benefit from it better when I need to use it standalone - 🤞

I got me a massive deal in Denmark and paid 200 dollars for the watch ultra, including a trail band... and all I had to do was bind myself to a subscription that I allrdy had for another 6 months.. which I had no intention of cancelling anyway...

They will not include a rotating bezel on a rugged watch. A mechanical part that will easily fail if the watch is used as intended. Obviously the Watch 5 Pro won’t have it as well.

I held on to my Watch 5 Pro because of the battery life and I made it my work watch. I'll be upgrading my Watch 6 Classic to the Ultra mainly for the battery life.

I think the pro and ultra have a similar battery number. No need to rush to upgrade

Just got the GW6 44 mm w/o the physical rotating bezel. Coming from the OG GW (tizen software), I do miss it, but I'm getting used to not having it. My upgrade experience thus far has been amazing. Im very satisfied with the GW6 performance.

Watch Ultra......Is it really Controversial ???? In my opinion I don't think so. And Samsung Had a Square Watch also, Why not Combine the 2???

If they had just made a new Gear S version instead of putting a round Galaxy Watch 6 original into a new square body, it would have been the best watch! I loved the Gear S design, and I'm not the only one. It's very strange that Samsung won't bring back that design since it's the one we all want!

I get 1 day 20 hr out my watch 6 classic and 1 day 10 out my ultra my classic just seems the better watch for me roating Bezel a must for me love it love it love it!

I got the Glaxy Watch Pro, but wasn't happy with the big weight of it on my wrist, saw ur video on the Classic with the return of the rotating bezel and I WAS HOOKED!!
