Just a heads up on something that's never actually mentioned in the show, but Roman's "wife and child" were only part of the pilot and they completely changed that aspect of his character. Some people might think that's a spoiler, but I don't want you guys wasting time wondering why they never get mentioned again.

I can't even remember being bothered about that or maybe even being aware of it. They were just two marginal presences among a host of characters that were introduced during the pilot, and since there was no follow-up on them, they quickly faded from my consciousness. But maybe it's different when you are watching really attentively with a view to analyzing the content afterwards, as with reaction videos.

The most amazing thing about this show is how they constantly manage to make you despise every single character only to put them in a situation where you feel sorry for them to then somehow get you to kinda start rooting for them and almost kinda liking them to then make you go right back to despising them again. Such a unique and brilliant show.

The baseball scene is so brilliant. It's really an analogy for corporate greed and the scales of rich and poor in society. The kid has no shot at hitting a homer run like many poor Americans have no shot at true meaningful wealth. And yet the kid gets the incentive of a million dollars egged on by a billionaire who truly knows that the bet is unfair. Just do the impossible and you can be rich too.

I downloaded the theme song to my Spotify right away! It is so cool! I usually can't stand clash chords as a musician, but it's SO ADDICTIVE! I love Roman (minus the baseball incident) and Shiv! I binged the entire series this past spring/summer before watching The Boys for the first time after season 3 ended. Loved Gen V as well. After the baseball game, Logan gave the boy the watch Tom gave him for his birthday as restitution for what Roman did.

King Lear mixed with The Office. Great music by Nicholas Brittel who also composed the soundtrack of Andor. If you want to know more about the family, watch the opening credits. The whole dynamic of the Roy family is there for all to see. Logan Roy is an abusive, horrible human being.
