What about the reverse lights? A buddy of mine did the same manual swap on his Mk2 Jetta, which was actually from the States, I think from Canada. But he swapped the front doors with the bigger windows, the bumpers as well and fitted it with GTI exterior trim. Oh, and also he installed projector lenses into the OEM reflectors, got some HID bulbs and man, those suckers shine bright. I can send you some pictures on Instagram if you want.

I like my automatic, but still... From time, to time, im thinking about the manual gearbox. Would've you kept the automatic gearbox, if it wasn't for the starter?
