This obsession with the KO is completely overplayed. Why? Why is it a given? Franklin has never been down in his life. Whyte and AJ both caught him with heavy shots and he proved that he has a solid chin. Sometimes it just doesn't happen. Deontay Wilder who is the heavyweight division's KO artist, went 12 rounds with Bernane Stiverne and couldn't KO him. Fury went 12 rounds with Francesco Pianetta 3 months before Wilder. Where was the outrage then? KO's just doesn't always come. Why force it and jeopardise the W when you're comfortably winning the fight?

None of them 2 looked scared out their skin of what was coming back and looked that way for a number of fights. Relax.
@PST101 Жыл бұрын
@@x12-y8v really? No one said this after Usyk 2. AJ went for it in the later rounds and was getting tagged constantly. Didn't look scared to me. But I appreciate people ignore that that as it doesn't fit the 'scared' narrative. Let me guess, 'he hasn't been the same since Ruiz 2'. But we'll ignore the Pulev KO... all while he was 'scared of getting hit' of course. He has been defensive agreed, but against fighters who have hands as quick as his. The opportunity to KO Franklin simply wasn't there. You don't just go and have a shootout with someone and hope you're on the right side of the 50/50. Maybe a possibility in the last round, but again, why jeopardise the W at that stage of the fight when your way ahead on the cards.

aj went 12 rounds with jf, without showing really any tiredness after really dominating the whole fight, he looked more collected but lacking abit of confidence which this strong W willl give him some of it back. People just want to shit on him for not getting crazy kos or going out there and just unleashing, which yes he needs to be confident to do more but hes come off alot of losses. Not to mention if he gassed himself out for the KO he couldve lost. Hes not the same yet but i think hes back in a process to getting there and evolving further. Not sitting here saying he deserves no criticism or needs improvement but its not as bad as people make it out to be.

i watched the fight, its not even arguable, AJ looked technically better, he done the basics better, hes jab, he threw more, but 75% into the fight he got a little cautious, however..... he looked better in terms of his fitness, he wasn't blowing like you usually see him in the corner after 6 rounds and he was heavier!, definitely more economical with his punches. he needs to throw combinations more though, but i was impressed, he just needs to get more of a killer instinct which is what i think hes lost since he got knocked out by ruiz.

AJ is a great man lovely fellow . The call out to TF was the nicest call out in history. It doesn’t matter if they could magic up Angelo Dundee & Ray Arcel to train & be in AJs corner. It would be the same . The matchroom hype machine is grinding to a halt. It’s like the wizard of oz when he got exposed. In the end he was alright still. The other thing the hype do generate mega money. This do alter things, like judges scoring incorrect , refs not acting right, time keepers ringing early.

With Wallin, Fury used his fear to his advantage. When AJ feels fear in the square circle, he is disadvantaged by it. Though Fury has made a prick of himself recently, he is still levels above AJ overall.
